  1. Yeah, Illinois isn't going to do anything this year with this shoddy defense. This is sad.
  2. I still remember exactly what I was doing that whole day of the clincher in 2003. Needless to say, that was by far a bigger deal.
  3. I wasn't totally against Piniella, but I wanted Girardi.
  4. Duke's in the same preseason tournament as us this year (the 2K Sports Coaches vs Cancer Tournament). Even though we'd probably lose, I'd still like to face Duke to see what we have against them.
  5. Wooooo, we get the Packers-Bucs game down here. As for the game itself, I'm expecting us to win a close one even with our secondary completely banged up. Griese threw the ball 67 times last week, but the one stat that a lot of people aren't mentioning is that the Bears' defense had 0 sacks on him. I think our offense should be able to stay out on the field long enough to give the defense a breather and our front seven should be able to get enough pressure on him to force some errant throws and to drag him down a few times. Woodson has been playing with a broken toe and he was "hurting" on Sunday after the game, but he should play. Collins has a back contusion and Bigby has a hamstring injury. Both are questionable, I'm just hoping one of them plays while Aaron Rouse fills in at the other safety spot. Win this game, and we should have a two game lead in the North again with Minnesota facing a tough Titans team on the road and the Bears facing one of the most explosive offenses in the league.
  6. Sounds like Al Harris ruptured his spleen and he'll probably be placed on IR within the next few days. Well that really hurts. I know Tramon Williams can step up and be a good CB, but I'm worried about our nickel depth and past that. If this means more Jarrett Bush on the field, we're screwed. Philly's been talking about moving Lito Sheppard for the whole offseason, so I hope we at least talk to them about his availability.
  7. Yeah dumbass. And where did that get you? Oh and by the way, good job getting beat like a ragdoll by a midline receiver to set up the losing field goal. Anyone else just about ready to be done with Vasher? He's sucked all year. How many more weeks does he get pass because he's "coming back from injury?" The man can't cover, and he can't catch anymore either. Right now, he's pretty much a complete and total liability. Oh yeah. Vasher is overrated. He's a terrible tackler as well. A lot of people think he's better than Tillman cause he gets all the interceptions, but what people don't realize is 1. He can't tackle 2. He is always in the right place at the right time. There like always ball hit into the air and he just happens to be right by it. Tillman is so much better than him. He is one of the best tacklers on the entire team He probably is the best tackler on the team besides Urlacher. And he's easily one of the best tackling CB's in the league.
  8. I actually thought Rodgers did ok considering how much Dallas was bringing the heat. Yes he held onto the ball a little too long, but it's better to take a sack than to just throw the ball up and pray that someone comes down with it. I'm not really all that frustrated with this loss because I do think it was evident that we can compete with Dallas. Our red zone playcalling was a little hideous. After that big pass to Driver, we should've been able to punch it in and that would've tied the game at 13. Instead we had a run and then a Rodgers scramble for nothing before Rodgers got sacked. It's an entirely different ballgame if it's tied at 13 there instead of a 13-9 game. And I thought the defense played well considering Harris was out for most of the game. Woodson did a fantastic job on T.O. I'm glad McCarthy finally wised up and decided using against Harris on bigger wideouts. If only we used Harris on Plaxico in the NFC Title game.. Dallas just made the big plays while we didn't. They do have some big play guys, but Mario Austin isn't one of them. Terrible job by Tramon Williams and not really sure what Aaron Rouse was doing there. We missed Bigby tonight in terms of the physical aspect on defense. Dallas owned us in the time of possession battle which really hurt our defense, but given the amount of time out there, they did fine. We'll be more than fine for the rest of the year as long as we continue to do what we have been doing. This team has a lot of talent and it's going to be fun to watch these guys mold together as the year goes on. I really hope Ryan Grant can get 100% soon because him and Brandon Jackson could form a real nice 1-2 punch in the backfield. And Jordy Nelson is looking like he can bolster our WR corps to an even greater collection of wideouts if he can continue to have games like he did tonight. There are definitely some positives to take away from this game, especially if you're a fan that didn't think we were going to win this game.
  9. I know Dallas was playing prevent D there, but the pass attack looked real smooth. We really should've attacked downfield more tonight.
  10. Everyone's laughing when Tramon Williams is covering a go route. Good win 'Boys fans. Hopefully we show up against Tampa next week.
  11. Romo's throwing more grounders than Derrek Lowe.
  12. Yeah, that's awesome. Blackmon got his helmet ripped off, but of course, nothing.
  13. Wow, they got it right.
  14. I guess grounding isn't a rule anymore.
  15. Learn how to throw the ball away, Rodgers.
  16. I'm jealous too.
  17. Need 7 this drive or else it's over.
  18. Collins with a blown coverage. Shocking.
  19. Ugh this is ridiculous. Can't keep settling for 3.
  20. Well, can't complain too much about only being down by a TD at half considering how long our defense has been on the field. Rest up during half, get a 3 and out to start the 2nd half and hopefully the offense stays on the field longer in the 2nd half.
  21. That should've been ours. Ugh.
  22. For the love of God, Bob Sanders (of the terrible defensive coodinator variety) needs to learn how to blitz on 3rd down. Rushing only 4 against a line as good as Dallas' usually won't fare to well and of course, Romo picks us apart.
  23. It sure would be nice to know the status on Barnett. Thanks Andrea Kramer for your brilliant reporting.
  24. In Columbia we're obligated to get both the Rams and the Chiefs, I wonder if they'll combine to get 10 wins combined...if you include last year. Yeah, we get quite a few Chiefs games here too including today's. It's great if you're wanting to watch some bad football for entertainment, but I really wish we had either the Bucs-Bears game or the Saints-Broncos game here today.
  25. He's not even 100%, is he? I dunno, who cares. It was a supreme waste of money. He's the best DT in football when he's healthy. "When healty" being a key word. That's true, but he deserved the deal that he got.
