Ahahahaha did anyone else see Lou during Brenly's mini-rant about Miles getting the PH at-bat? It was almost like Lou heard what Brenly was saying and just put his hand up in disgust. Just trying to find something humorous from this game, I guess.

What'd you expect with the great Joel Pineiro on the mound? I'm complaining about how they actually for once aren't doing anything offensively, besides cashing in on the mistakes of one ineffective inning. They're playing the Padres. Contrary to popular belief, the Padres can be beaten at Petco.

I long for the 2004 team at this point. At least I felt really good going into September. Eh. I don't long for the 04 team. If you're not going to make the playoffs, don't string me along for six months only to blow it in the last week. Just get it out of the way and the sooner you're eliminated, the better. That's exactly how I feel. If you're going to blow it, do it earlier in the season instead of making it heartbreaking over the last week. That year still sucks because I felt that team was easily more talented than its 2003 counterpart and they couldn't beat the likes of the Mets and the Reds. This is just a joke now. Why people are talking about playoff races is beyond me when they can't win one [expletive] game at Petco Park. But hey, at least we scored more than a run this time around. -
I think this guy's getting his years mixed up. Thome was a FA in the 2002 offseason and there was a lot of talk that he wanted to come to the Cubs then. And like others have already mentioned, he was traded in the 05 offseason.

Yep, I hope we knock his ass out. Nov 1st is going to be so un real. Is this the general feeling among Packers fans? How long will it take for these wounds to heal? Yes it is. As far as how long it will take, I'd give it quite some time. Time heals wounds so he'll eventually be forgiven (for the most part), but I do think his legacy in Green Bay will forever be tarnished.

:-)) Not really sure why that's funny, but ok. It was a joke, wasn't it?! Santo made the trip to SD? Usually he skips the road trips cross country. And along the lines of Gregg losing the closer role, there is nobody else I really trust on the team to close (not that I trust Greeg, but there is nobody that would do a better job imo). I wouldn't mind us either sending Berg down or cutting Heilman and bringing up Cashner to see how he might do. But we will probably just bring Samardzija back up. Absolutely not. The one thing we can't afford to do this season is rush Cashner.

The 4 game series against the Dodgers will probably take us out of the Wild Card hunt. Back-to-back division titles were nice at least. -

Only lost a 1/2 game in the WC. Would have liked to be 3 out, but 4 out isn't the end of the world. The division's done. We have to pass four teams in the Wild Card. I don't have hope that we can do that.
