I know you're somewhat joking, but I was curious. They've actually been ranked really well the last few years: From the AP poll 2005 preseason-8th, Final-7th 2006 preseason-17th, Final-19th 2007 preseason-9th, Final-9th 2008 preseason-17th, Final-15th i'm surprised. maybe they work their way higher and then lay some eggs in october/november before doing well in a bowl game or something. just seems like they're overrated a lot. they're getting thoroughly outplayed in this game, but as usual their special teams have kept them in it. I was thinking the same thing when I saw they were rated 7th earlier in the week. Just seems like they always start out really highly ranked, lose a key game or two in conference play before finishing strong.

See? No one is bitching about how bad the Big 12 is. Kstate barely beats a D-1AA team, and OU loses to a less talented (but pretty decent) BYU team, albeit without their heisman QB. But if the Big 10 does those things its, "LOL THE BIG TEN SUXXX! WORST BCS CONFERENCE" That's because the Big Ten is terrible. It's not the worst BCS conference though. I saw people suggesting that they should be stripped of being a BCS conference. Well obviously the Big East is the worst BCS conference, but that goes without saying.

Bradford's injury sounds like the same thing that Aaron Rodgers had last year. Pretty cool to see BYU knock off a team like Oklahoma on the first week. They have it made for them.

Damn, SIU nearly beat their 3rd I-A team in four years but just came up short against Marshall. Third quarter doomed us as we were outscored 21-7. Should be a good battle with UNI for the conference title, yet again, this year.

i don't know about that, but this is the part where people start grumbling about how zook's teams inexplicably lay huge eggs like this one, and wonder why the performance on the field isn't matching the quality of recruits he's bringing in. If they have another season where they're right around .500, I'm not sure if he lives another year. Like you said, the talent on this team doesn't match what's going on right now.

I probably shoulda realized our pass defense would suck since it sucked with Davis on the team last year. The whole defense just looks flat out slow. It's more of a travesty that there's only 3 points on the board for the offense.
