  1. You're sounding like Meph. There's no plausible reason how Oklahoma State should be ahead of Houston in the polls. They were better on that given day and that's all that matters. last year, a 9-0 Penn State team lost to a 5-4 Iowa team. Should Iowa have been ranked higher than PSU after that game? No... Houston beat Oklahoma State in the second week of the season and they're 2-0. Why shouldn't they be ahead of Ok St?
  2. Oh Jesus. I love BG, but the Bulls weren't going anywhere this season anyway. It's all about 2010. The Hawks will be fine and like I've said repeatedly, Cutler will be fine. If the Bears have problems this year, it won't be due to Jay Cutler but rather the secondary and the WR's. Forte needs to stay healthy too because my guy GW shouldn't be a second string RB on any NFL team, let alone a team trying to win a divison.
  3. No, it's the BCS standings that doesn't start until later in the season. The AP poll has always been weekly from preseason on. I know the BCS polls are always later but I could've sworn the AP poll didn't come out until around week 4 or 5 for the last two seasons.
  4. Agreed. Didn't the AP do that for a couple of years before this year? Not like it really mattered because they just used the coaches poll for a guideline. There should definitely not be any polls up until mid-October.

  6. And Jay Cutler had never done it before. He'll be fine.
  7. Keep it in perspective and know your audience. We were outplayed most of the game and probably deserved to lose. Cutler helped us out tonight and we should be sending Christmas cards his way.
  8. Both QB's are better than they played tonight. Again the biggest thing I take from it is how bad both o-lines looked. Packers and Vikings are both in great position to start 3-0. Bears need to play well to avoid a really big early hole after 3 games. Both O-lines looked pretty bad tonight. If neither of them clean it up, I don't see how the Vikings don't win the division. It could have been a product of both teams defenses playing their butts off. I thought the Packer line is fine except for the RT. I agree although our running game didn't start to get on track until Urlacher was shelved. I'm sure you guys will beat us at Soldier.
  9. Well, Rodgers is due for his first big comeback.
  10. So apparently neither of these two teams are going to be able to field a roster the next time we face off.
  11. That's the only thing I've been able to come away with from this game. Is it too early to crown the Vikings as North champs? Yes.
  12. That's the only thing I've been able to come away with from this game.
  13. Doesn't help when Driver drops two fairly easy ones and Nelson drops a really easy one.
  14. There's like a 1% chance the Packers win this game. We're being outgained by a wide amount and our defense can't continue to play this well for the whole game.
  15. Crosby has a hell of a leg, that's for sure. He has the leg to hit kicks from 65. Problem is, he's not very accurate.
  16. That's how I see it too. Hopefully they continue to keep the flags in their pockets.
  17. My last ex was a Packer fan too. That doesn't change anything.
  18. Need a miracle here.
  19. I can't ever remember one team gaining so much media love based on the preseason. Especially a team that couldn't stop the run last year and had a RB who was inconsistent at best. Why are the Packers so much better than last year? The 3-4? But there is no way to determine how good they will be right now. Well if you want you could say, there is no way to determine how good anyone will be right now. :) You possibly can if you look at improvements made. Look at your team last year and examine what additions were made. The Packers were a bad team last year and didn't do much to improve. The Bears got way better. The Bears were better than the Packers last year. They will be better this year too. But all this Packer love is crazy. It is unwarranted. The Packers never make any changes in the offseason, via free agency or trades. That's nothing new.

Why are the Packers so much better than last year? The 3-4? But there is no way to determine how good they will be right now. Grant had 1200 yards during a 'down' year. That's not bad. His YPC sure was, wasn't it? Yes it was. He has no excuses this year. Last year, he held out for most of training camp and was out of shape. Sure enough, he was banged up against the Vikings and dealt with a couple of nagging injuries for most of the first half last season. Again, he has no excuses this year. Time for him to put up or shut up this season.
  21. That was AWESOME! Like I said, this D is FUN to watch. Nice Sack for a 3 and out up 28 too. Gotta love it. Anyone see the Hasselbeck/Wallace QB hookup in the 2nd Q? Awesome stuff. On a side note. For anyone wanting to watch out of market games or anything else for free, go to My p2p.eu. Great site for those of us not near markets for the teams we like to watch. Channelsurfing has been flawless for me during the Cardinals game.

  23. I wouldn't say that. Their offense has looked like a bottom feeder. That's not acceptable with guys like Warner, Boldin, and Fitz on offense. Anytime the Fox affiliate here wants to switch to a different game would be fine with me. You don't start booing a great offense one half into the season. They've looked lethargic all throughout the preseason and there was definitely some panic and unrest before the game down there. They have reason to be concerned. The 49ers have played well defensively but the Cards offense hasn't shown anything all throughout the last month plus, up until that last touchdown drive. It was preseason. I guess its just a difference of opinion. I would never boo a team after one half of play where they are only down 7 that just went to the Super bowl. I realize that but Haley left and it was still a big concern heading into the game on where the offense would be. They looked abysmal the first 2+ quarters. That's not going to ease any lingering worries that they had coming into the game.
