This offseason is gonna suck. We are gonna give away Soto and Bradley. :banghead: And then the majority of our fans are going to be wondering why we did that when they both have rebound years next year.

If we don't trade Bradley for a bag of baseballs in the offseason, I think I'm going to get a Bradley jersey. At this point, it's almost fun to root for him just because so many know-nothings don't like him.

Is there any non-Viking fan that doesn't think this will end like it did last year for Favre?

this needs to be bumped on to every page of the thread in case someone rational is accidentally reading this thread I think most of the people in this thread have been pretty rational, save the two or three extreme false thoughts.

I hope you're right, but I could see other teams seeing that Pace is having issues with a small guy and line up a LB or something on him... He looked better in the later drives. It could be a concern, but the Bears were giving help to St. Clair on a bunch of plays last year. Giving Pace some help on a few plays, if the situation calls for it, would still be an improvement. Yeah....it was just one game, and a preseason one at that. I'm not overly concerned yet. he doesn't usually see freakshows like the 3-4. he's played in the NFC most of his career, and even HE hasn't faced many schemes that rush midget defensive ends/"outside linebackers" and line up free safeties at the middle linebacker spots and giant fatasses at NT. More and more NFC teams are implementing the 3-4, though. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see the 3-4 be the premier defense in the league within the next 10 years.

The sad thing is his opinions probably represent the majority of our fan base.

Not a lot of backup QB's can do that. Let me ask you this. How many good starting QB's are in the league? I'm talking about being legitimately good, too. The answer is definitely not over 20 and probably closer to the 15 mark. There's plenty of teams in the league that have a problem finding a good starting quarterback. Since there is such a need for the QB position in the league, you're not going to find yourself a very good backup (most of the time). For every Charlie Batch out there, who was in a perfect system in Pittsburgh, I can give you your Matt Flynn's, Caleb Hanie's, and Mark Brunell's of the world. You can't worry about your backup QB too much because almost every team in the league is out of luck if their starter gets hurt.

I have to admit, it would've been interesting if we won today. I probably would've began to be sucked back in. Z isn't average right now. He's sucked since he's come off the DL, which is pretty disheartening.

Koyie Hill sucks. It's too bad the only people, whose opinion actually matters, think otherwise.

I just hope for the Packers fans sake that the GB isn't peaking in preseason football. I'm not going to get too excited but there's no reason the offense shouldn't continue to produce in the regular season. Our air attack is pretty stacked and Grant's in-shape this year. Basically, this really hasn't changed what I thought of this team even before these preseason games. If our defense can just be average this year, we're going to be pretty good. I'm more worried about Green Bay than Chicago. Mainly because I just don't know what to make of that defense. They could make a huge jump and be really good or it could be a rough transition and make minimal improvement at best. They have talent over there. Offensively the passing game should be awesome, I'm just not real high on their o-line and am not sold on Grant. He had a big year in a part-time role and last year couldn't average 4 ypc or get 5 TD despite having over 300 carries in an offense where the passing game opened some things up. Grant held out most of training camp last year and was out of shape when the season started. I definitely think that had something to do his struggles last year. Plus, Brandon Jackson was great last year as he averaged over 5 yards a carry. Rodgers hasn't been sacked at all in the preseason and the offensive line has looked good in terms of run blocking as well. Now I don't think he's as good as he was in the second half of 2007, but I definitely think he's capable of putting up good numbers this year. He doesn't have any excuses this time, either.
