  1. Yeah, I was hoping that Sharp was on Kane's line instead of Versteeg but that's nitpicking. Those lines are fine.
  2. Butler said Niko was okay after the game, so I trust that.
  3. I don't understand what's wrong with Vermette. I actually thought he looked okay on Sunday, mainly because he was actually playing his natural position. If he's subbed out for Carcillo...yuck.
  4. Yeah, I think you have to stick with Darling for Game 4. Neither of the goals yesterday were bad goals given up and he made quite a few point blank stops. Eventually, you're going to have to go back to Crawford but I'm hoping that'll be Game 1 of the next round.
  5. Why has Schwarber only been playing in every other game? Seems strange to me.
  6. Cumiskey's better than Roszival.
  7. I don't really think there's a wrong answer as to who starts in Game 2. If you ride the hot hand with Darling, that's fine with me because at worst, you already got a split in Nashville. I didn't really think Crawford was that bad last night; sure he gave up a goal that was a little bit soft, but I chalked up the first period as the Hawks just getting outworked on both ends of the ice. I was surprised that Q even pulled Crawford after the first period. No matter what direction Q goes in with the goalie situation, I'm fine with that. But if Roszival is playing tomorrow...
  8. GS in 5 HOU in 7 SA in 6 MEM in 7 ATL in 4 CLE in 6 CHI in 5 WAS in 6
  9. No, they don't. They're running this whole thing how a minor league team would run something. Actually, that might be giving them a little bit too much credit. It's really embarrassing to see.
  10. Shaw's worse than Keith. Not only is he an insufferable goon, but he usually ends up hurting the Hawks far more than helping them. I don't really get why the meatballs like the guy, but I won't miss him at all if he's dealt after this year.
  11. That team is full of so many tools. Reaves, Jackman, Ott, their fat ass coach has them burned out by the playoffs every year. I think if they finish first Minnesota will knock them out so Reaves can wait another year for his revenge. Funny thing is they probably think we have so many tools between Seabrook, Shaw, Keith, Carcillo, etc Well, they're right about Shaw and Carcillo.
  12. Just go ahead and cancel tomorrow's game too while we're at it.
  13. So what former poster is this ceres guy?
  14. Should be a beautiful evening for those going tonight.
  15. Not the finest day for Chicago sports, eh? I swear you say this, like, 28 times a year. There probably are 28 days like this though? And yes there's a whole thread in rants of me bitching about particularly unfine Chicago sports days This game more than likely didn't matter, the Bulls game really didn't matter and the Hawks are clearly capable of beating anybody on the road if Kane's back. Yes, yesterday was truly a shitty day.
  16. Beat folks are suggesting this means an acceleration in his timetable, though it was noted due to the cap he can't come back until the playoffs start. If he's back for Game 1 of the playoffs, we should all probably be ecstatic about that.
  17. I was watching the B&B remote yesterday -- similar turnout.
  18. And now I know why. lol.
  19. It's not helping him get his own show one bit He might think that it is. If you're buddies with Bernstein, you have a good chance of eventually getting on air. Bernstein's basically the program director at that station.
  20. Kentucky over Iowa State, although I don't feel good about that at all.
  21. Man I really wanted to like Groce, but that was awful. I'm starting to wonder if he's the guy. Good recruiter, but I just don't think he can coach. His regular season records at Ohio were scary when he was hired by Illinois initially, and now (to me anyway), they really do look like the norm. Mike Thomas is the bigger problem.
  22. if abbatacola takes over, i start listening to waddle and silvy again It'll be Laurence. Guaranteed. Unless he wants to keep his 120 Sports gig and night time slot. I'll never listen to that again either. Holmes would basically be another version of Boers, just agreeing with everything that Bernstein says, minus the weird noises.
  23. He needs to just come out and say he's playing in the playoffs when he's speaking with the media.
