  1. I wish Doc could teleport to the west coast because this announcing crew really blows. Somehow, Micheletti confused Hjalmarsson for Oduya on that awful icing at the end of either regulation or the 1st OT. And then yeah, saying there's nothing in the rule book but then actually showing the rule from the rulebook later on in the game sure was great too. I'm thrilled with that win because I thought Anaheim was the better team for probably 5 of the 6 periods last night. After Anaheim's first goal, they just took control of the game. Crawford was spectacular, although the post was certainly helpful last night too. Take care of business tomorrow and Saturday.
  2. still worlds more inspiring than Motte/Coke/Schlitter sacks of [expletive] try to think of this as endorsement for Schwarber as 'Plan B' and it's more exciting That's how I'm viewing this. Medina's an improvement over the bums that we've seen for most of the year. I think if Montero were to get hurt, they'd call up Schwarber too.
  3. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/05/18/bernstein-derrick-rosejimmy-butler-tension-marred-game-6/ Although, I would consider this with a grain of salt seeing how it's Bernstein citing his imaginary sources yet again.
  4. I don't hate the guy, but there's no excuse for losing this series. And there's really no excuse to get blown out by a team without Irving for three quarters and with LeBron off for most of the night. I won't miss his stubbornness. Hopefully Hoiberg can at least coach a little bit of offense. Wait...Every piece of garbage on the Cleveland roster could have hoisted the ball behind their backs from thirty feet with their eyes closed last night and the ball would have swished through the net and Thibs should be fired for losing that game? I get that they lost to a team that basically had no star power on the floor last night, but everything they threw up there in the second half miraculously went in. It is what it is. Tip your cap and move on. Not just yesterday, the whole series. There was no excuse to lose that series and they did. I'm not saying he should be fired for this series alone, but I'm not going to be mad that there's going to be a different coach next season.
  5. He fouled out against the Celtics a couple years ago. I think that was the game before he went off for 50 or so on them.

  7. You really think somebody else is going to be better than LeBron before he hangs it up?
  8. The thing that's frustrating is that this is the perfect opportunity to beat the Cavs. Even if Love's not back next year, I'd assume that Irving is going to be healthier (and probably better altogether) next season. LeBron's not magically going to get worse until the time he hangs it up either. I understand that Gasol is out, but you have no idea if Rose is going to be as healthy as he currently is right now, this late in the season. I'd also venture to say that this is LeBron's worst team that he's been on since the team that lost to Boston in his final year before going to Miami. I don't think Cleveland's going to be worse next year. The Bulls are an aging and relatively unhealthy bunch of players. That doesn't make me too optimistic going forward. If you're going to beat them, this is it. If the Cavs get a real coach after this season, that's just going to make them even tougher to beat.
  9. So, is there any way humanly possible that Noah isn't on the team next year?
  10. Just don't allow teams to huddle during an official review. If a team huddles, slap them with a technical. Problem solved.
  11. Talking with reasoning like that doesn't make a lot of sense because we don't know how the game would've played out if McDermott played. He could've been just as bad as Mirotic was yesterday. Plus, his defense is a huge liability so who's to say Cleveland wouldn't have made more shots?
  12. Yeah...Doug McDermott wouldn't have mattered yesterday. I haven't agreed with his usage throughout the season but you can't just throw him out there when the guy hasn't played a meaningful minute in, what, months? The bigger issue is that if you lose this series without Love, a banged up Irving, and a complete idiot coaching the Cavs, you're never going to beat LeBron. I know Gasol being out yesterday hurt the Bulls, but the Cavs have had two of their three stars about as non-existent as possible in this series. Yet, it's now a best of 3 with the Cavs having home court again. LeBron still has never lost a game against the Bulls in which he absolutely needed to have. Also, it's great and all that Noah's trying. But I don't think I've ever seen a 7 footer as completely inept at making layups as he has been for the better part of this season.
  13. I feel like that sharks series was pretty easy, but then again they did trail in that series in Game 4, and game 3 went into OT. And Game 1 was pretty close throughout too before the game winner with around 5 minutes left.
  14. That was the easiest series the Hawks have had since the run started in 2009, right? Outside of the first 10 minutes of the second period during Game 1 and the final minute during yesterday's game, there weren't really any stressful moments throughout the whole series. I'm not quite sure how the Blues lost to them, but I'm not complaining.
  15. I think if the Bulls win tomorrow night, they'll win the series. If not, it's a tossup. Pretty simple, really. As far as the Thibs article goes, pretty crappy timing. If you just casually follow the Bulls, you know that he's most likely not going to be here next year. To continue to focus on that after the Bulls biggest win in a few years kind of sucks. The thing that I don't get about the whole situation is why exactly does GarPax have an issue with Thibs? Is he really that much of an [expletive]? Not one player has ever had a bad thing to say about him, which is pretty impressive considering he's going to get fired/traded/whatever you want to call it in the offseason. I just hope that Gar is held accountable if/when Hoiberg, or whoever the new guy is, fails.
  16. If they don't get a split on the road without Love and JR Smith, forget about this series.
  17. Yeah...not sure I get where this is coming from. Q can be annoying at times with not playing kids and some of his line combinations, but he's a damn good coach. I doubt he's retiring anytime soon either.
  18. Saw that Noah's 1 for his last 14 on FT attempts. That's...not good. He actually looked competent in the first half, but then missed a couple of very easy bunnies in the 4th that pushed the Milwaukee lead back up to 9. Hopefully with two days off before Game 6, Rose will actually look like he did in Game 3. But for the love of god, enough with the jump passes.
  19. I don't remember either of the middle games in Minnesota, but I remember the showtime goal that Kane had in Game 1 against them. Then of course the game winner in Game 6.
  20. Chuck and Shaq's reaction to that last night was pretty great.
  21. Is he going to talk about the Bulls too?
  22. Man in the past 2 weeks Ive seen people rip Pat Hughes and now Chuck Swirsky. What's the problem with him? Would you rather Neil Funk? He's better than Funk but not by much. Both broadcasts pretty much suck.
  23. Same here. I was still able to get close to six hours of sleep last night and I'm still completely dragging.
  24. If this isn't a bit, I don't know what is.
