  1. Yep. It's gonna take me a while to fully invest in hockey this year. I hate to sound like a spoiled fan but yeah. I'll get invested in January when its cold outside and nothing to do. Hopefully they will be better by then. The last few years, as sad as it sounds, has taught me that the regular season is pretty meaningless. Nothing wrong with being a spoiled fan when it's true.
  2. One thing I've never understood with FOX. When Buck goes and does baseball for a few weeks in October/November, why does Brennaman get the bump up to the A booth? Enough already.
  3. Just got the e-mail: Thank you for registering for the chance to purchase tickets to Cubs 2016 postseason games to be played at Wrigley Field. Unfortunately, your entry was not selected in this random drawing for National League Championship Series tickets. Your entry will continue to be included in any additional random drawings that take place throughout the 2016 postseason.
  4. I think he's great -- I'm usually extremely hard on announcers, but he's really good. The only issue I had with him were some of his horsefeathers up's in Game 3, and then whatever the hell drivel he was talking about the "ex-White Sox factor" yesterday with Gillaspie. I went back and had to read this thread from the 7th inning on until the end of the game. Those of you that were still confident that they'd win this game... =D> My feelings on the game exactly echoed what Theo said in the locker room. I was preparing for G5 with Cueto starting and Bumgarner in the pen. But when Zobrist worked the count to 3-1 and got that double, I felt pretty good that they were at least going to come through and tie the game. This team is something else. Thanks Hendry, for at least not leaving the cupboard for Theo/Jed/McLeod completely bare with Javy and Willson.
  5. ODB is due to go off sooner rather than later, and without Shields this week, I'm preparing for the worst. Hope the offense does what they did in the first half of the Lions game on Sunday night.
  6. Pretty awesome that they were able to get new deals done for Hoyer and McLeod too. lol @ the rest of MLB.
  7. Looking back at this thread, it took me a second to remember who the hell Peralta was.
  8. Yep. Makes me feel a little bit better about the Packers struggles last week after seeing what they did to Cam and Carolina yesterday.
  9. What a great guy.
  10. No Ansah this week, so it would be a nice time for Rodgers to remember that he's ok at football.

  12. holy horsefeathers LOL. Keep making up stuff, Dan.
  13. This really sucks. I never got a chance to meet the guy, but how could you not love his stats and his game thread posts? RIP, Fred.
  14. This. I only have it like once or twice a year, but it's pretty amazing.
  15. How about KB and Rizzo as co-MVP's? Make it happen.
  16. I saw that too. And he's not even sitting in prime seats.
  17. Screw Zambrano, bring back Sosa you idiots.
  18. Kind of deserved to not score after bunting with Zobrist, but what the hell do I know?
  19. Any time the offense wants to wake up and score some runs would be ok with me.
  20. What happened to Almora last night? Saw he was replaced defensively and then didn't play today.
  21. I have a very hard time believing that the Cubs wouldn't at least consider an offer in the offseason.
