  1. You're getting the two Jordan games confused. We played the Wizards in DC a few weeks earlier and that was the game where he blocked Jalen Rose's layup at the end of the game. Jordan's first game at the UC was on that Saturday afternoon where the Bears played the Eagles in the divisional round.
  2. Nope, Guenther loves him like a son. We weren't expected to go bowling, so this season was a success. He should have been canned after last season but they cleaned house to give him one more shot. This team should have been 8-4. Next year hinges on what LeShoure decides to do, but we finally have an out of conference schedule I think we can handle. 8 regular season wins should be a baseline. the team doesn't really hinge on what leshoure does, imo. jason ford is a more than capable feature back and bud golden will be the backup. they'll be fine there. i just hope liuget and tez come back. and it will be interesting to see if o'toole can come in and challenge scheelhaase. Liuget coming back is a must. I'm not really a huge Martez fan but obviously I'd like him to come back too. The OOC schedule is a pretty easy one. Hopefully a New Years Day bowl game is in the cards for next year.
  3. Orlando's still a worse matchup for us than Boston, I think. Howard always manhandles us and we don't match up well with their shooters on the perimeter. That said, we still have a ways to go if we legitimately want to compete with those two teams for the conference.
  4. Since Thanksgiving, everything that can go wrong has gone wrong in sports. Maybe I should just quit.
  5. That might not even be the worst ruling to go against Illinois this season. Remember the "fumble" against Michigan State when Jenkins knee touched the ground while he still had possession of the ball? The Ohio State game had several bad spots in it, all going against Illinois too.
  6. Looked to me that it was pretty glaring evidence that the Fresno guy got a ridiculously great spot. Illinois has been screwed more often than not on reviews this season.
  7. that was a completely standard hit. he should have been looking for the ball, but there was nothing dirty about it. Right, but he's still a dumb football player.
  8. I can't wait until Tavon Wilson is gone. What an idiot.
  9. I hate that play for a two pointer. As soon as you roll out, you take away half the field. Way to minimize your odds of actually converting. Nice kick coverage too.
  10. Glad I wasn't the only one to see that. Coaches really are stupid when it comes to actual game strategy.
  11. Scheelhaase looks like he's never seen a blitz before. I'll take that TD, though.
  12. Yeah, it's never going to happen. I mean what the [expletive] is so hard about winning the MAC? Miami Ohio went from hell and back to get yet another MAC title. Meanwhile, NIU has the short distance to Chicago in their favor, a first-class weight room/recruiting facility, and a good mix of players/coaches. Yet somehow, they haven't won the MAC in 27 years. It's not like we're talking about the SEC or Big 10. The MAC really shouldn't be that difficult to win for NIU. 4th and 20? A tipped pass, no less? Just brutal.
  13. I hope he does it. I want to see Rose lose his mind because this [expletive] is ridiculous.
  14. If NIU doesn't win this game, they'll never win the MAC.
  15. It always is, though. It eventually evens out.
  16. The Bears are going to draft that guy that blocked those kicks. It's a given.
  17. What a shitty way to start the day. RIP Ronnie.
  18. Yes. He transferred from John A. Logan in Carterville, IL. The turnovers suck but so do the missed FTs. That's right, SIU was trying to go after him (Carterville's like 10 minutes away from Carbondale). He would've been a great get, obviously.
  19. Schaub hurt and Eagles fans cheer.
  20. someone running on the court would be the only thing that would make that game remotely interesting Oh yeah, because those Heat have been so unbeatable this year. Especially on the road. I'm saying that it's a game between two mediocre teams, not that the outcome is predetermined Sorry about that disagreement.
  21. I would've loved it, personally. But signing Dunn wasn't a realistic option.
  22. Yeah, the Lions are down to Drew Stanton. This game won't be close, no matter what the "mindset" is.
  23. I really hope more recruits just use a family member to try to get money from a university. It's not illegal, right? This whole thing is a sham.
  24. I think Minny-Packers is a much bigger deal than Minny-Chi. It is. But all of you need to stop talking about this before I cry. I don't even know what I would do. If it happens, we'll take up a collection to get you started with some Bears gear. Eff that. If I have to take up a new team I'm going with the Browns. Why not the Lions?
  25. I'm certainly not going to overreact after just one game, but Orlando is the worst matchup for us in the East. I really hope we can somehow avoid them in the playoffs. Of course that guy on Denver could probably help us out against the Magic.
