  1. Yep, they're better than Boston. Crown their ass.
  2. He kept saying that the Lakers were out of timeouts when they popped up a couple of graphics that showed the Lakers had a :20 remaining. Then when the Lakers took the final TO, Funk was confused for a few seconds before he finally realized he was wrong. Dude's brutal. Awesome win. Keep this up.
  3. Can Neil Funk please be fired?
  4. I was getting ready to criticize Rose for passing the ball to Noah time and time again down the stretch. Thank God he came to his senses there.
  5. This league is a joke. Kobe blatantly pushes off Deng -- foul on Deng.
  6. Rose better not pass for the rest of the game. Seriously.
  7. It'd be nice if we had a 2 guard that could actually make a layup.
  8. I want to see a lot of Rose and Boozer in this quarter.
  9. lol, great timing.
  10. It sounds like he still believes that Bo Pelini is a candidate for the Miami job, as well. One year after he took over at Tech, who does he think he is Nick Saban? He has strong recruiting ties down there. Plus he has to overhaul TT's roster completely from one of the most prolific pass-heavy offenses to what he usually wants in a run-oriented offense. Going to Miami makes a ton of sense from his end.
  11. tough break for your 5th favorite team I could've sworn it was his 8th.
  12. The madness ends for good after Week 17, so they're trying to squeeze every last drop of him they can. Plus, I think they're just looking for excuses to keep Ed Werder employed. Don't be so sure. I'd put even odds on offseason talk of him at least considering coming back. With Arizona or Miami being the likely destination.
  13. The power play was horrible last night. 6 PP's to 1, and yet it was somehow a one goal game. Still, I can't complain with 2 points against a conference foe.
  14. I can't wait (well, yeah I can) until Illinois loses to Ohio State or MSU. FIRE WEBER!!!!!!!!!! He's a good coach and now he's recruiting well. They have a team that should make the Sweet 16 this year and people are saying he should be fired? Dear God.
  15. He has a good pipeline in Florida and mentioned in his press conference that he was going to recruit speed. That's one thing that he always had at SIU and NIU. Obviously, the Big Ten is a much different animal than I-AA and the MAC, so we'll see if that actually works. He's a good hire. I'm not really sure I understand why many Minnesota fans are upset by the move. They'll come around to it.
  16. One more possible destination for Rich Rodriguez if he's out at Michigan. I'd love it just to see the WVU reaction.
  17. why? no one would go. they'd be the Clippers x10 You're not giving Chicago fans any credit. People support the [expletive] Chicago Wolves. They'd support a second NBA team. They support the Wolves because they built a reputation of succeeding while offering a dirt cheap product. Chicago is a football first, baseball second and basketball only because of Jordan city. They aren't going to pay NBA prices to see a non-Bulls team. If CP3 was still on the Hornets, I'm sure you could get people to go. I don't understand why Seattle isn't getting any consideration. Typical Stern, I guess.

  19. Until somebody else gets hurt.
  20. At home, by 3. Basically a toss-up game, and Green Bay looked better than Atlanta last week. Well I would hope so...GB played a 4-8 team, while Atlanta had to contend with a team that is trying to get a wild card spot in the playoffs. I don't think that's comparing apples to apples. It's never comparing apples to apples. That is why it's a subjective process. I think Green Bay is better on a neutral field. EDIT: As far as real justification: the Packers have just 3 wins by 7 or fewer points, and have not lost a game by more than 3. The Falcons have just 3 wins by more than 7 points (and 2 against the NFC West...that hardly counts), and lost to Philly by 14. All four of our losses have come on the opponent's final play of the game.
  21. If Rodgers didn't fumble at the 1, we probably would've won that game. I really want another shot at them in January.
  22. I'm not much of a ref basher. In the NBA, they're usually comically bad for both teams. On Saturday night, Rose had 18 shot attempts from the paint and had 0 FT attempts. I don't think I'm being biased when I say that there's something wrong with that picture.
  23. Before last night's game: After the game: Makes sense.
  24. Two of Noah's fouls were absolute jokes too. On one of them, he didn't even touch a guy and Korver was initially whistled for the foul, but they changed it to Noah. NBA refs, lol. And hey, Rose actually shot some FT's last night.
  25. Not on a national stage, I don't think. I thought of the same thing when I heard Collinsworth and Michaels calling hiim "Ben" time and time again last night.
