I blame my dumb Packers luck on all of the Hawks injuries and this Noah injury. It stinks, but Asik can hopefully handle the little sisters of the poor. If there was a time for Noah to miss a month or two, this is it.

He'd be back for the Giants game, so it wouldn't be throwing away the entire season. Even with Rodgers, we'd have very little chance of winning this game on Sunday. It makes sense to just hold him out and have him come back at 100% for the Giants and Bears. Hopefully scoreboard watching goes our way this weekend, although it hasn't at any point this year and I doubt it's going to start now. I might be crazy for suggesting this but I think the Packers have a fighting chance with Rodgers playing the NE game. The Pats have an amazing offense, but the Packers D has been playing really well lately I believe. If there's a defense that can slow them down, it's GB's. And offensively, assuming the conditions are much better than the other night, I would think Rodgers would be able to exploit that Pats passing D that is said to be so weak. I think it would be something like a 30-24 game in favor of the Pats, but one that could go either way. I 100% agree with this. Rodgers would shred that secondary and the defensive struggle would obviously be interesting to watch. To be fair, he wasn't shredding the Lions' awful secondary. Never underestimate the stupidity of Mike McCarthy's playcalling.

Our defense has played absolutely surreal, despite all of the injuries we've encountered on that side of the ball. At the very worst, I'm extremely excited about our depth on that side of the ball for next year. I think something like a 28-24 score sounds about right. That way, we get another close loss to add to McCarthy's 2-14 record since 2007! But if he doesn't suit up, the Pats will dominate the TOP battle and our thin defense would definitely wear down against their pass attack. That's the main reason why I think it would be a blowout if Flynn plays. As for the Vikings-Bears game, I think it's a game where the Bears will struggle for a little bit. They've played down to the Bills and Detroit on the road. I think Minnesota might keep it close for a good portion of the game, but the Bears will find a way to win it at the end.

I'm not trading Ronnie Brewer for JR Smith. Call me a homer all you want, but I've been really pleased with Brewer as of late. Smith would get quite a few open shots on the perimeter in our offense but he'd also give up quite a few points on the defensive end. It's not worth the gamble. And hasn't Redick been pretty bad this year? I know he's been hampered by that flu bug, but he wasn't really playing all that well before that either.

I'm asking this impartially not as a Bears fan. Are Packers fans considering the division a longshot at this point and are setting their sights on the WC? Just curious. Most Packers fans I know seem to think it's not terribly likely the Packers beat NE this weekend. If you don't win that game and are still aiming for the division you are rooting for the chance that the Bears lose out. Which is obviously not impossible. Just wondering where Packers minds are. Because as Bears fan, as attainable as the division seems, I still can't get my hopes up for our playoff chances and probably won't be able to unless we officially clinch something I think it's more likely that the Giants lose to Philadelphia and Tampa loses one of their remaining three games, so yeah, the wild card situation is what I'm banking on. If the Bears somehow lose to Minnesota, we control our own destiny again in the division. I'm not getting my hopes up for that after seeing Minnesota's "performance" on Monday night.

Rodgers won't practice at all this week. It's sounding like he won't play, meaning instead of losing by 7-10, we'll lose by 4 or 5 TD's.

That is just awful awful awful*. I see no good reason to attend. *sorry about that morbid comment Geez, I know they intended it to be a college field only, and it was probably built on the cheap, but how can their consession stands not be built to withstand temps below 30, as if it's not possible to get below 30 degrees in mid to late November in Minnesota. Also no beer taps? Again, I understand it's a college stadium but it's a bit strange that they didn't bother to have any plans for any other events but college athletics apparently. I'm assuming it's the only outdoor stadium in the Twin Cities area that is readily available in the summer for stuff like concerts or soccer games. They didn't consider additional revenue streams like that at all? The weird thing about it is the weather usually takes a turn for the worse in November up there, and the Gophers still have a home game or two when it's really cold. Something doesn't quite add up if the concession stands can't withstand temperatures under 30 degrees in freakin' Minneapolis.

I like those too. I don't get the outcry with the Oregon jerseys. I think they're pretty awesome.

Would still be difficult for Bears to sneak in on wild card if they lose Minnesota game. Yeah, you guys would basically be in the position we're in right now with regards to the wild card chase. I really don't see how the Bears are going to lose to Minnesota. That team looked beyond awful yesterday.

I think the Bucs are all but a lock to finish at 10-6 and they would miss the playoffs if the Packers finish 10-6. They would only miss the playoffs if the Giants-Packers and Bucs finish at 10-6. Bucs-Packers-Giants finish 10-6 = Packers IN Bucs-Eagles-Packers finish 10-6 = Bucs IN Bucs - Packers finish at 10-6 = Bucs IN In other words, we're fucked. Philadelphia needs to win in a major way on Sunday because I don't see Minnesota beating the Bears, no matter where the game is.

I'm still very reluctant to put the Bulls ahead of the Magic.

The loss was entirely on Seabrook last night. You can blame Turco, but we were in a position to win the game with about 2 minutes left to play before his two boners. Both Keith and Seabrook were on the ice for the six Avs goals and Keith was on the ice for the empty-netter. We went from getting 3 points out of 4 in two road games to 1 out of 4. That's just been par for the course for this team this season. And use the injury excuse all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that this team was in position to win the game before a collapse by Seabrook. They still should have won the game.
