  1. I'm a big Brett Anderson fan. But at this point, I'd probably prefer to try to get a young(er) starter that is arbitration eligible that a poor team soon won't be able to afford. Or a change of scenery type. Another Arrieta type, if you will.
  2. I think you have to start Gordon. I know he and Johnny football have no chemistry. No reps together due to suspension/depth chart, but when Manziel scrambles, the potential for a huge play is there.
  3. My Flex decision is: Lamar Miller v. New England Shane Vereen v. Miami Doug Baldwin v. SF Michael Floyd v. St Louis Charles Johnson v. Detroit Terrence West v. Cincy
  4. Really tough call at QB. Romo was terrible last time vs. Philly (and I'm hoping for it again as I'm playing him in 1 league). I'd probably still go with him though as I don't expect Wilson to exactly go off against SF's defense. Matthews at Flex.
  5. That fact (when compared to anyone) blows my mind every time.
  6. Seems like he's pretty much like every other QB based on those stats. How he's played with more than an 8 point lead is almost irrelevant because it's not like they've had many leads that big. What Atlanta? Did they ever lead Carolina by that much?
  7. huh? Assuming you mean bad? And what are these things?
  8. Of course Bowden just mentions that Russell and Edwards could be enough to get Kemp. Screw that. Could be? Cubs should add Rizzo just to make sure they get Kemp.
  9. Hopefully we can fire him now. Only after he tapes himself singing the stretch as Harry Caray and they can play that at the games instead of the stupid guests.
  10. That's worth at least $5Mil to me personally. I [expletive] hate pickoff throws that don't result in pickoffs.
  11. Yes, this. Reddick can probably fake it in CF too if needed.
  12. That's my preference as well. Posted in other thread, but I will put it here also since its where the traffic is: Baez, Alcantara, Edwards and a high-ceiling Low A or Rookie level guy for Upton. Too much or too little? Probably a little much, but probably what it would take. I personally like Cargo or Kemp. Really like the thought of a big bat that can play CF.
  13. Is this the first time a thread has gone over 60 pages and the Cubs actually GOT the player they targeted?
  14. So you want good players for bad prospects. Got it. That's really what you took out of what I posted? O.k. Deductive reasoning. You don't want to trade the elite prospects for a really good player (as stated above). You don't want to give up an expendable prospect 4 years away for a decent player that fits a huge need. So, I am deducting that you think Mejia is worth someone between Price and Montero. Therefore, i deducted you want good players but without having to give up good prospects, and added some hyperbole.
  15. So you want good players for bad prospects. Got it.
  16. Graham has caught 3 passes for 25 yards in the last 2 weeks, so you may be worried about nothing. But I have him starting this week anyway because it's the Bears. No, that makes it worse. He's due.
  17. Might be mostly due to the rumors of Boston being out.
  18. Every FA deal goes at least 1 year too long. 7-years would probably make this 3 years too long. I don't know that I could personally do the 7th year. I can handle 2 years too long, because you hope Lester is solid for a 5th year at 36. But if that's what it takes, I'd rather trade prospects for Zimmerman, who's a better pitcher and the Cubs would be able to negotiate a long-term deal with him, probably for less than Lester will get if it gets done before he's on the market.
  19. Seems like if it's the Cubs it would have happened already.
  20. Just had my best week of the year with 189+ points......on a 1st round BYE. The team I play this week, won his game by putting up 184 (opponent had a very good 165). I lost Andre Ellington for the year, he lost Brandon Marshall. My team is completely QB and WR driven, with Megatron, Jordy, Beckham Jr, and Luck (each put up 30 this week). I'm going to have to win with Lamar Miller and either UDFA Crowell or Ellington's replacement (if I get him on waivers) at RB, and a TE that has been inconsistent this year (Cameron).
  21. Ugh. My fantasy game is probably going to come down to this game and Matt Forte vs. Jimmy Graham. Bears won't run or cover Graham, so I'm screwed.
  22. Seems like a little much from the description. I could see one of them and a lesser arm.
