  1. You ever been to either? Obviously if not, do three opposite Otherwise, I'd go Arizona. May get to see some guys not in the majors that early in Arizona aka Bryant.
  2. AJ Johnson was an absolute beast at linebacker, almost certainly would have gotten drafted. What a dumbass. I don't know if dumbass is the word I'd use to describe a person who is indicted for aggravated rape. True. But to be fair. He is really [expletive] stupid in various other ways.
  3. Maryland called that timeout. That said, the timeout did not help them much either. They executed very poorly defensively (or were naive tactically -- sound like the soccer fan I am, there) in allowing a rather open, top-of-the-key 3-pointer from a hot shooter. Oh ok. It was announced IU timeout on the broadcast.
  4. If the plan for the final shot is Yogi crossover 3...... then why call the timeout.? He was inn rhythm after the previous shot. Let him work. Troy was open at the rim too.
  5. You'd think he'd have a job with Lovie or Ron Rivera if he wants it.
  6. Is Almora not Shawon Dunston in CF? Only a white. Dunston played CF for a little bit, especially after he left the Cubs.
  7. Wouldn't be too hard on IU today. I don't think this UM team is particularly talented after the injuries to Walton and LeVert (and the significant NBA attrition) but in the 6 games without LeVert they've won at Rutgers, lost in OT to Wisconsin, beat Nebraska, lost in OT at MSU, got blown out by Iowa and then the close loss in Bloomington. Not being hard on them. That's who they are. They can't pound it inside and get to the line to put teams away. They can't get consistent stops on D to stop runs to get the other team back in the game because they aren't very big.
  8. Because they've had two winning seasons in the past 8 years and play in a park no one can hit in? The Cubs have been dog [expletive] the past 3-4 seasons... are they a crappy team this year? The Padres underwent one of the biggest transformations this offseason. You could argue they have a better lineup than the Dodgers at this point. If they get Shields, they'll probably be better than the Cubs.
  9. IU took a game they should have won by 20 and eeked it out at home over a Michigan team with 2 players I've heard of. Was a must win as we go to Maryland next. Still looking good at 17-7, 7-4. Probably going to lose the next one, but then hopefully they can win out the rest of the month, with 2 home games (MN, Purdue) and take a couple on the road against Rutgers and NW. That'd put them at 21-8, 11-5 with 2 home games to go. Pretty good coaching job by Crean this year considering the lack of size and experience on this team. Between here and Marquette and teams falling short of expectations with lottery pick big men the last few years, I'm starting to think this is the type of team Crean needs to coach.
  10. Unless something changes, Justin Upton will be in RF, Wil Myers will be in CF and Shawn Kemp will be in LF. Then they still have Quentin, Venable and Maybin as backups. Is there anything Shawn Kemp can't do? Wrap it up 1 out of 10 people are Eskimo brothers with Kemp. I almost was. One of my older sister's friend's was banging him whenever he would come back to visit in Elkhart, IN. I could have banged her, but she was the biggest whore I've ever met in my life and would talk about her conquests. She lived in Seattle for a few years, and I'm pretty sure half the Supersonics roster ran thru her. And she was only of average attractiveness, though she did have an exotic look.
  11. James Shields throws a complete game shutout in Game 4 of the World Series, completing a Cubs sweep.
  12. Oh my bad. Coach D'Amato! He took his team to the playoffs with a raw, inexperienced QB after suffering thru a 3-game losing streak his star QB aging and getting injured, his defensive leader and star LB also dealing with aging and nearly fatal concussions. All this while dealing with a failed marriage, estranged child, and a tumultous relationship with his owner after developing a great relationship and multiple championships with the current owner's father, who recently passed away.
  13. Coach K- most McDonalds All Americans played for him than any other coach Jackson- Jordan, Pippin, Kobe, Shaq.....all top 8 draft picks, and HoF players. Larussa- [expletive] him Belichick- defensive coach who took largely no-named D's to 3 titles, then led the best offense ever to an undefeated regular season, then won another championship....all while playing with a QB who was picked 199th overall. Popevich- #1 picks led his teams to multiple titles, but I don't think he's coached any else other than Kawai Leonard who even speaks English as his first language. Belichick or Pop are clearly ahead of the rest of this list.
  14. He has Mariotta sliding to the Jets. I don't see Shelton or Armstead as even close to the 7th best player in this draft. Shelton is a decent player, but I'm not picking a NT that high unless I know I'm getting Hloti Ngata. Armstead is a freak athlete, but I think there's a decent 40/60 ish chance that he's there at 39 when the Bears pick in the 2nd. Almost HAVE to go edge rusher because of the value/talent available at #7.
  15. That's a great hire. Draft Elliott 2016!
  16. If someone falls it will be Winston for obvious reasons, but you're right, he won't get past the Jets. New GM there can afford to roll the dice a bit on his character issues. That said, growing pains in NY would be very much unlike anywhere else he might play. If he goes to Tennessee he'll get maybe half the media coverage / pressure that he'd receive if he were in NY, Chicago, New England, etc. Winston's going 1. I think his game translates well to the NFL. Pro style offense in college, made NFL throws. And frankly, I think his "character" issues will be minimized with a coach like Lovie. Lovie is a player's coach, he's black), I think it's a really good fit for Winston. I think Tennessee passes on Mariota at 2. Jacksonville won't take him 3rd. Then I think Oakland would be open for business at 4. The Eagles obviously want him, but would have to give up a lot for the Raiders to move to 20. But you could see the Jets move up (to make sure nobody gets in front of them) or someone else in the top 1/2 of the draft make the jump.
  17. I'll take that just mainly on Ray/Perryman. Can anyone tell me about Smith/Harper? Smith may be the best FS in the draft (I don't think he is, but seen him argued as such). Good all-around safety, maybe the best in coverage. 15 career INTs. Can probably help out covering a slot WR, but is best deep middle in cover 1 or 3. Not a great tackler or run defender, but typically gets the job done. Very fast. Maybe fastest S in this class. Forgot about Harper. He's a small-ish, speedy slot type WR that's a high volume pass catcher in a pass happy gimmicky college offense. But I got him a notch below that group. I don't think Harper is as fast, as good a route runner, or as valuable a returner as any of the guys he's going to be grouped with (Philip Dorsett, Tyler Lockett, Devin Smith, Jamison Crowder, Stephon Diggs). All these guys should go in about the 75-125 range in the draft, except for maybe Smith and Dorsett if he runs sub 4.3 at the combine. Edit: he is listed at 6'1", but is pretty slim.
  18. I'll take that just mainly on Ray/Perryman. Can anyone tell me about Smith/Harper? Smith may be the best FS in the draft (I don't think he is, but seen him argued as such). 19. I only have 1100 points that I'm definitely keeping right now. Can take on points.
  20. I didn't think there was any way he'd not be B1G POTY by now.
  21. Conspiracy theories are out. Seattle didn't run the ball, because they didn't want Marshawn Lynch to get the MVP (would have been his 2nd TD, to go with 100+ rushing and a big 31 yard catch on that final drive). Him getting the MVP would mean he would be interviewed on live TV and embarass the franchise with his answer. Someone also mentioned that Seattle wanted to keep leverage in contract negotiations and they couldn't NOT pay him if he won the MVP.
  22. That's where I'm leaning. Something like 38-23 or 31-16 Seahawks.
  23. He's fun to watch. Love the fact that Smotherman is getting more minutes, too. TF they find a black guy named Basil Smotherman? He in witness protetction?
  24. He seems like the type of guy that wouldn't take a cheap one year deal. I think his ego is too big. Nah. He saw what happened to Urlacher and almost to Tillman. Good chance if he's not a Bear he's not an NFL player anymore.
  25. Yep. Especially inside in a 3-4. I think he'd be an asset and rejuvenated.
