  1. Last year, you could blame the D on injuries and being on the field too much. There's no excuse for this BS tonight.
  2. Wow! Kevin Jones looked pretty! Vision, power, and speed all shown in that run.
  3. That's exactly what I would say. Wow! I just saw that hole in the wall commercial, Ping. What a horrible, horrible idea!
  4. Somebody needs to tell the D-line that they are allowed to go after the QB when he stands in the pocket.
  5. Yes. Nobody seems to know where they are supposed to be on defense. The play to Bradley was a busted coverage. He ran past a LB and was wide open. Rashied has looked excellent, except he dropped a TD pass just a few minutes ago.
  6. I was just saying at work today, that it's not so much Hester as it is the Bears special teams schemes. Backups are dominating on returns. Orton made a bad throw to Olsen on a big mismatch.
  7. Because they're so scared of the O-line that they have, that the figure a Chris Williams just back from surgery is better than their other options? FWIW, I agree with you...I'm just trying to come up with reasoning. I'm guessing this changes if they find a decent waiver wire pickup.
  8. Nolasco was the guy I wanted to lose least of the 3. Mitre had limited upside/talent. Pinto was starting to look like what he has become, a fat reliever. I would have been fine with those 2 for Pierre, even though I still think it would have been overpaying.
  9. Interesting game today for Zambrano. He has been struggling recently, but has giving up 3 ERs to Cincy in 23+ innings this year (1 ER, 4 hits in last 2 starts 16 IP). In the past, Zambrano has had trouble with Cincy, but the guys who have done most of the damage are gone. Griffey had a 1.047 OPS against him, Dunn is at 1.014 career vs. Z. The only guys with any kind of success against him are Votto and Encarnacion. This is a good time for Zambrano to turn it around. His next outing will be similar vs. the Pirates without Bay and Nady, who have hit him hard also. On the flip side. If the Cubs throw out the regular lineup (same players as the last 2 days), every single Cubs player will have AT LEAST a 1.000 OPS against Fogg, including Carlos Zambrano! No friggin excuse to lose this game today!
  10. K- Bironas?
  11. If those doubles came to the 2nd batter in the inning, as opposed to the leaoff man both times, the Cubs win 1-0. That's a pretty crappy loss to take. When both hits you give up score without the benefit of another hit.
  12. Usually keep 6 WRs right? Davis, Hester, Lloyd, Bennett are the locks. I'm assuming Hass is the 5th if Booker or Bradley could lose out on a spot.
  13. Padres and DBacks in a shootout early. Oh yeah, Peavy and Haren are on the mound!
  14. Hoff singled again. 3 for 3. Pie also singled.
  15. Tyler Colvin has gone deep. 1-2, with a 2-run HR.
  16. Are you sure? Watching or boxscore?
  17. Take out 1 of those starts and you get 37 IP, 18 hits, 3 ERs, 13 BBs, 52 Ks. That's just stupid.
  18. Yea but we win a whole buncha more games when Soriano is in the lineup than when he isn't. HA HA! I hope that never gets old. That's sarcasm. It was old 2 hours ago.
  19. No doubt about it. I hope both teams go that far. Could meet in the 1st round, if the Sox catch the Rays. Kazmir/Lackey Shields/Saunders Garza/Santana
  20. Soto has 2 triples and an inside-the-park HR. Mr. 40-40, Soriano has neither.
