  1. Wait, are you saying that if a team onside kicks and recovers it they can win on a FG? Oh and I know it was just an example, but Brian Dawkins is on the Broncos.
  2. Darren Evans has declared for the draft.
  3. Well there's likely a lockout before the draft anyway, so even if came out, the rookie pay scale could still hurt him, right? The lockout would start immediately after the draft, so the players would be selected but contracts wouldn't be negotiated until after the lockout ended is my understanding. If I'm right, then the rookie contracts would be subject to the new CBA. The lockout date I've heard is March 1. The draft is mid/late April, and thus, would likely be delayed until post-lockout, I'm presuming. The draft is supposed to go on as scheduled. It is late April. 4/28-4/30
  4. Any chance a team tanks to get Luck next year? If he even comes out then.
  5. Why not pull an Elway or Eli and say he doesn't want to play for the Panthers then?
  6. And Sparano is still technically HC, right? Yeah, pretty much.
  7. I think Bradley to Pitt is going to happen today.
  8. Dolphins offered Jim Harbaugh an 8Mil/year contract. Word is, he's going to accept it....because apparently, he's not a dumb ass.
  9. Yes, I did forget Sanu. Won't be nearly as strong, but is it worth coming back to be a 2nd round pick rather than a first half of the 3rd round?
  10. Not come out in the same class as Green, Blackmon, Jones, Baldwin, and Floyd? Yeah, but he's a different WR from those guys. Those are outside #1 WRs. Broyles has the potential to be a beast in the slot. And next year's class, while not as good as this year's, will still be good. Alshon Jeffrey, Posey, McNutt, Childs, TJ Moe, Roy Roundtree. And a few of those guys are very similar WRs to Broyles in size/speed combo.
  11. There are rumors going around that Travis Lewis and Ryan Broyles are going back to Oklahoma. Strange if true. Lewis is a top 50 pick pretty easily. Broyles top 80 pick, but he's not a guy that can really do much to help his draft status unless he has the ability to grow 3-4 inches. How do you improve on 131 catches for 1600+ yards and 14 TDs?
  12. Harris seems like a guy that could get easily bored at the CB spot. He looked good early, the team played well early. Teams stop throwing his way during the middle of the year. Then when the team started losing games, he kinda mailed it in. Still, to me, he's a clone of 2 of the NFC probowl CBs, Asante Samuel and Deangelo Hall. Same type of game. Also, Harris is the best run defender of all the CBs in this draft, by a decent margin. I think he's a 1st rounder, but he'll go after Janoris Jenkins, who I don't think is as good as Harris is.
  13. That kinda sucked.
  14. Haven't been watching, what happened to Boozer?
  15. Doesn't matter. If the NO/Bears matchup happens, the Saints don't even attempt to run anyway.
  16. I believe they were/are. Elway just took a position with them and was on the Stanford sidelines. I'm sure that was to woo Harbaugh.
  17. He's also likely to lose his coach. I figured Luck's decision hinged on Harbaugh's.
  18. Yeah...that and the worst team in a division is always going to appear to have the hardest schedule the next season, simply because they don't get to play themselves, and other teams beefed up their records against them. Doesn't help that they get the NFC North also, and have to play the Bears and Packers. Add in the Colts in the AFC South and they have 9 games vs. teams that won 10 games this year.
  19. Wow. Poor Carolina. Worst record and get the hardest schedule. Of course, having three 10-win teams in your division doesn't help.
  20. That would be putting it nicely. We had Minnesota confuzzled by our zone defense in the first half so yeah let's not play that defense AT ALL in the 2nd half. Oh and the fact Sheehey was an important part of our 19-3 first half run and the kid doesn't get back on the court until like 8 minutes left in the game. Oh and the continued insistence on letting Verdell pretend he is Magic Johnson. I don't get it anymore. Sure the man can recruit but at this point I'm not sure he could beat Mike Davis in a coaching contest. And yeah, that is being harsh. That is very harsh. But Crean's just not making any sense anymore. I knew the team wasn't going to be great, but they shouldn't be doing the same crap they did when they had 13 walk-ons on the roster. I'm seeing 0 improvement on the floor, from a team that brought everyone back.
  21. Is it me or is Tom Crean not coaching well the last few weeks?
  22. Steve Smith can't be considered a stud anymore. He hasn't done much for 2 years (due to QB), but he'll be 32 by the time the season starts. Nowhere near the age where WRs are still studs after 2 dud years. Also, D'Angelo Williams, both starting OLBs, their leading sack man, starting CB, and starting C are all FAs that may jump if a winning team flashes them some cash.
  23. If it goes to 18 games, I'd imagine that instead of the 1st place teams playing the other 1st place teams in its conference (i.e. Bears vs. Eagles and Seattle next year), the 1st and 2nd place teams in each division will play the 1st and 2nd place teams in the other divisions in the conference. And the 3rd and 4th play 3rd and 4th in the other divisions. Only adds 2 games because you are already playing 1 entire division.
  24. Saints 38, Seahawks 17 Packers 34, Eagles 30 Colts 24, Jets 21 Ravens 17, Chiefs 7
  25. Mel Kiper's been reading my [expletive]. I have said basically the same on this and other message boards on the web, other than mentioning Baldwin by name, because I don't like him.
