  1. Good lord. I just saw that all 9 of Seattle's losses this year have come by more than 15 points. Though, I also saw that NO has never won a road playoff game.
  2. I am still worried that Luck won't declare. Heck, even when he does I will still live with the tiny bit of fear that we will somehow screw this up. Anything's possible after the train wreck I just witnessed the last 4 months. 4 months? 1 and done after a 1st round bye, 8-8 season after 12-4 the year before, re-signing Delhomme to a multi-year deal, trading a 2nd round pick in this draft for Armanti Edwards. The train wreck didn't just start 4 months ago. Sorry to bring this up, but the franchise has been going in the wrong direction for a little while now.
  3. I believe the rule was changed 2 years ago when the Chargers went 8-8. They got to host the 12-4 Colts in a playoff game and after they beat them they got to pick 11 spots ahead of them in the draft. They also got to pick ahead of teams who missed the playoffs and that was considered an unfair advantage. I don't think that is right. The Giants and Ravens picked 30 and 31 (only 31 teams at that time) in 2001 after playing in the Superbowl. Or did that just affect SB teams at that time? Yes, the rule used to be that the SB teams were the last two picks and everybody else was seeded by record. Now that rule extends to every round of the playoffs. Ok. I didn't know that. I always thought the draft order was determined by order of exit in the playoffs.
  4. What in the blue hell?

  6. The Saints would be #2 over Chicago due to conference record. It's kinda funny. The Bears have played 3 of the other 5 playoff teams this year. The 2 good teams, they beat in Chicago. The 7-9 team is the team that won in Chicago. Then you throw in the Bears have beaten NO like 5 straight times, and it's even stranger.
  7. I prefer that they sign 1 offensive lineman, and draft 2. I'd like a new starting guard (either side, cut Garza or move Williams back to compete at OT) and center. I'd also like a backup anywhere. But I think they need 1 veteran prescence that's actually a good player. And they need at least 1 high draft pick in the mix. I'd lean toward letting Williams stay at LG, because he has been decent in the run game and was a 1st round pick. A solid vet, a 1st round pick, and a 1st or 2nd round pick means at least 3 of the 5 OL have top end talent/ability.
  8. Yeah he did. He threw people under the bus early in the year without naming names. Then toward the end of the season he blamed the front office and coaching staff for the piece of crap team.
  9. I don't know. Granted it was only 1 play, but he got completely ran over by that OLB for GB that I never heard of til yesterday. He also got ran by on an occassion or two. Purely physical mistakes, iMO. I took those as mental mistakes, considering they were protection schemes on passing plays (if I recall the same ones you are) Probably more mental, becuase I think they were OLBs and Woodson beating Williams, but he's not making the physical plays to make up for the mental errors. I do think you have to give him another year though at LG, if that's where he's going to be. I can't believe he's still has only started and finished 5 games at LT.

  11. My ranking: AJ Green Justin Blackmon Julio Jones Michael Floyd Torrey Smith Jonathan Baldwin Leonard Hankerson Ryan Broyles Those are all 1st 2 round WRs, IMO.
  12. Knox was awful yesterday. And we were playing without Earl Bennett who is (sadly) arguably our best WR. Is there any doubt that we must draft a WR in the first two rounds? Yes. Did you miss the 6 sacks? Is it safe to call Chris Williams a bust yet? Not quite. I think he's done some good things in the run game. Whether point of attack or pulling. His pass blocking is turrible though.

  14. Rashied had a lot of catches, but I don't think he played all that well either. His RAC skills are non-existent.
  15. Yeah, I'm good no matter what happens. The Bears should win with an off-week, at home vs. either a team they already beat, a sub .500 team, or a dome team that has a terrible track record in cold weather.
  16. It seemed to me that the Bears were under the impression that they would be out of the game at halftime. In the first half, Cutler was pissed that he had to use a TO because the play call didn't come in soon enough. In the 2nd half, on the timeout that erased the Forte first down, he didn't even react. It just looked like the defense was fine with staying in because they were playing well. The offense wasn't and didn't want to play anymore.
  17. Lol it's not up to the coach whether or not the players give a [expletive]. If the coach tells you you're playing the whole game, you're playing the whole game. And that's what Lovie did. But it doesn't mean all of a sudden you care more as a player. Not having anything to play for affects you, even if it's on a sub-conscious level. It's all about desperation. not to mention I think Knox/Hester/Aroushamado(sp?)/Olsen proved they really didn't give a [expletive] with their crappy play. Offensive line as well. I dunno...I think those guys just played like crap. Knox has his share of brain dead games. Olsen too. Aromashadu only had like one chance that I saw...and not sure what Hester did wrong. Not that he had a chance to catch it, but on that last pass, I'm pretty sure I could read his mind. And he was thinking, "man, I'm not about to extend myself so I can get drilled in a game I shouldn't even be playing in".
  18. Cable isn't really a guy that's going to have teams beating down his door though. I wonder if he would go back to the college ranks.
  19. I'm sure they would like to but Car would be stupid to do so. Harbaugh and Luck would viagra that franchise. I don't know if Carolina would be stupid. I think SF can afford to give up a Ricky Williams type package (aka almost an entire draft). They don't have a ton of holes other than QB. They got a bunch of young players that are going to improve.
  20. Eagles have had so much trouble stopping the CB blitz. Charles Woodson doesn't even play CB anymore as he is always blitzing. Eagles D hasn't played well recently. This has Packers win written all over it.
  21. If Harbaugh goes to SF, does that mean they try to trade up for Luck? I think they should try it anyway. SF isn't really that far off from being a legit competitor. Hell, they just lost 10 games and finished 1 game out in the NFC West. But they just spent 2 high picks on OL, have a great RB in Gore, have a great TE, a couple developing WRs in Crabtree and Morgan, and are a decent enough defense (13th in yards allowed).
  22. I think Fox is a decent coach, but I'm surprised he's going to get another job so quickly. After all, he hasn't won anything, despite having some really good teams. Speaking of Carolina, jus looked at their FAs. They could lose a ton of talent. Beason is the only LB under contract, Marshall is probably gone, their sack leader is a FA, DeAngelo Williams, Kalil, and I believe another OL.
  23. But it was ok to throw him the ball 10 times? I like how you keep ignoring that.
  24. I still contend the 18-game season is a ploy. I don't think anyone wants an 18-game season. The owners just want money. They want the players to get a lesser % of the revenue than they are currently receiving. The only way that's going to happen is that the players agree to keep getting paid the same, but over 18 games. Or the players agree to a certain % of revenue to their pay (including a rookie cap), and keep it at 16 games. So, either the owners make more $ on 16. Or they basically get an extra home game per team on 18 game schedule.
  25. He got 15 carries, I'm really not sure what you're complaining about. He's complaining because your argument makes no sense. You say there's more likely to be an injury running the ball, so instead of taking people out you just don't run the ball. That makes no sense. And your "only" 15 carries doesn't make any sense considering he had 8 catches, and 2 more than got called back due to penalty or the Matthews sack. So, he had basically 25 touches. Which you also argued that Forte has more wear and tear. I don't think it's hard to understand the concept behind playing your starters but not overexposing them to risk. Forte had 15 carries and what'shisname is crying that he didn't get more. There really wasn't much of a good reason to give him more. They went out and played a vanilla game and put in a decent effort but were not going to go balls to the wall, and they shouldn't have. Complaining that Forte didn't run enough yesterday just does not make any sense for a Bears fan. Like was said, if you are trying to win....then he should have run more. If they weren't going to go balls to the wall, then don't play him at all. And you can't seriously say he shouldn't have had more carries and in the same vein be ok with him getting 8 catches (not including 2 more where he took hits and they didn't count).
