  1. Agree on most. I don't want Idonije back. We know what the Bears pass rush does with him on the field. They play inconsistently. I'd really like to see the Bears throw some more money at this position. Cliff Avril would be ideal. He's 26, a great pass rusher, and would weaken a division rival. But there's also guys like Anthony Spencer (move from 3-4 OLB to DE in 4-3) or Robert Mathis, but he is over 30. Also Barber is under contract for next year already. I'd cut him and use that 1.9Mil elsewhere. Bell is a good enough #2. I'd probably draft a guy in the 4th-5th like you said, and then pick up a UDFA to compete for practice squad. I'd also take a CB early. I would bring Jennings back, and try for Graham, but don't know if he would stay to be a backup again. But the Bears still need someone to eventually replace Tillman.
  2. Lovie said MCL for Urlacher, no ACL injury.
  3. This season has sucked all kinds of ass.
  4. I'd be so pissed about this game, if I cared.
  5. Jared Allen is eating Webb alive.
  6. Idonije trying to get paid after this season. Hopefully, it's not by the Bears though.
  7. Nice. With Zeller likely being at least a 3-year guy and next year's class, adding a 3rd top 125-150 player to the 2013 class will produce some quality depth.
  8. QB scramble has been the best play in the offense for 6 weeks.
  9. This game is a dumbass
  10. Devin Hester....you are RIDICULOUS......LY STUPID!
  11. Toeaina didn't even try on that play. He immediately turned his shoulders to the line of scrimmage and got pushed
  12. Even if the Bears lose, it won't make that much of a difference. There are a lot of teams that can/will finish 7-9, the Bears have had the toughest schedule of all of them, meaning they'll lose all tiebreakers. They'll be picking between 14-17 either way, not a huge difference.
  13. Michigan St and NC State games showed me that they can win on the road. I know they didn't win at MSU, but they got down big and made a good game of it. If they beat the teams they are better than on the road, they'll be fine.
  14. I'm not sure if you mean at selection time or if you mean actually when playing tourney games. But I don't know how the 2 big wins will even matter at tourney time. With these 2 wins, IU should probably win every home game they play this year. They should beat most of the teams they play on the road also. Even if they lose 1 home game, and all of at Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Ohio St....they're still a 25 win team.
  15. I think Porcello would be flipped to another team. SD maybe.
  16. Feel like Ohio St lost that game more than IU won it. Matta coached a pretty bad game. O$U had a lot of defensive lapses in the 2nd half. IU got to the bucket a lot. That's on Matta.
  17. WE DID IT AGAIN! IF ONLY WE COULD PLAY EVERY GAME AT ASSEMBLY HALL!
  18. They had some great stretches, but just really didn't seem up to the challenge. Zeller getting in foul trouble and Hulls' terrible shooting really killed them. The offense struggled to move the ball on way too many possessions. Frustrating game. Yeah, Zeller was pretty soft last night. He wasn't very aggressive in calling for the ball. And his teammates didn't go out of their way to get it to him. When he did get shots, he didn't go up as strong as I would have hoped. But ultimately, this team needs to learn how to throw an entry pass into the post. Even if Zeller is having an off game, he can get to the line for points and get people in foul trouble. I always worry about this team's shooting on the road. Hulls was pretty bad last night. Had several open shots that he missed. I was proud of the team coming back from an 18-pt deficit on the road to take a 9-point lead, but can't allow a 20-0 run in the 2nd half. Defense wasn't any worse than any other game. They were just all or nothing on offense.
  19. The Bears will probably win this game. I hope they don't, but Minnesota is just as injured and probably cares even less than the Bears do.
  20. Watch out for the Jets to go after him pretty hard.
  21. Celtics/Knicks game was pretty good. Current one....not so much. If Lebron has a post game now, season is over.
  22. Who wins the AFC West if they all finish 8-8? LOL
  23. Yeah, definitely seems like the best fit and a very likely return for Garza. Doesn't make sense for them to trade Rasmus if they are getting Garza to try to make a playoff run. So, I'm thinking like you. 1 ML ready arm to slot at the back of the rotation this year, 1 big-time projectable offensive talent, and a couple live arms with 1 having top of the rotation potential.
  24. I don't think they have so many needs where they have to every pick over the next few years to compete. They don't have very many FAs of any consequence. Obviously a team with 5 wins has holes, but they have plenty of young talent and some at pretty key positions. They have a LT, C, run game, 1000 yard WR, and set on defense with a stud pass rusher, ILB, and CB. The Falcons gave up a 1st, 2nd, 4th last year and a 1st and 4th this year. They didn't move to #1 overall, but they moved all the way up from 27. Using that deal as a reference, I think the Dolphins would be looking at giving their 1st for 2012 and 2013. Their 2nd and 4th from 2012 and probably a 3rd in 2013. It's a lot, but I think they can fill a couple DL spots, TE, and CB depth thru the draft and free agency pretty easily.
