  1. Good idea getting Hayden in there in the nickel. DJ getting outsized.
  2. Cutler knows he sucks. He needs to adjust HAHhahahahgaa Webb pushed him behind the pocket, Cutler rolled into him, when the ball should have been thrown by then. Yes, it was by design that Webb found himself in the fricking pocket. Cutler had been making plays all night; he was trying to buy some more time. Maybe Webb shouldn't be so damn terrible and hold his block. Ware got the edge. Cutler had to see that. When Webb pushes him beyond Cutler, Jay needs to get rid of it, run, or grow eyes in the back of his head. Webb being bad is not a new thing, everyone knows it, Cutler has to adapt to it.

  4. F The Cowboys! That sack wasn't on Webb like Gruden said. Webb has been damn good tonight.
  5. My bad, Jennings got in there.
  6. Again, for a Cover 2 base D....the Bears really suck at zone coverage. Play [expletive] man! Lucky pick on a drop.
  7. He likes the Yankees and the Cowboys, but is from right outside of Cleveland. Just like his fans that like the Heat and never been to Miami.
  8. Bout time Gruden/Hester got something right!
  9. Not bad in the sense that they were able to not get completely screwed by the field position. Great job getting away from the goalline on 3 drives. Playcalling and Kellen Davis rearing their ugly heads once they get to the 35 though.
  10. They are holding the [expletive] out of our defense.
  11. Also means Jonathan Scott is ready to play if needed. J Webb should be looking over his shoulder. You'd think with the league as OL starved as it is the Bears could at least get their pick back from the Brian Price trade for Williams before the deadline. But I'm guessing he'll hang around on the bench all year.
  12. Sanzenbacher is going to have a huge role in this game. I think the Cowboys are going to try to force Cutler to throw to someone other than Marshall for most of the game. Dane in the slot could be key. Bennett has kinda sucked this year (drops, not coming back to the ball, not creating enough separation) so I think Dane could be a nice change of pace tonight.
  13. Dammit! AJ Green tackled twice at the 1-yard line. If I lose because of this..... :banghead:
  14. Let's Geaux Saints!
  15. There's about 3-4 college games every weekend that I look forward. Seems like 3 or all 4 are on at the same time.
  16. I didn't say they couldn't be beaten. I said Oregon couldn't do it. They can't. Best chance is Florida St or USC if Barkley gets his head out of his ass (though they won't get a chance). Disagree on USC having the best chance to beat Alabama. One reason Barkley's struggling so badly is how wretched USC's offensive line is, and they're not going up against a team of Alabama's caliber. Their best lineman and leader has been out too. The other USC may have a chance too. South Carolina is a pretty good team. Boring as hell, but good.
  17. Eli for Brady is pretty even. I'd take Brady for this year, but Eli in a keeper league. So, basically you gave up Marshall and Sproles for Peterson. I don't really like that. You sold pretty low on both. Sproles has only had 7 carries so far, which will increase a lot as he is still getting 9 ypc. Marshall has had 2 subpar games, but he's still being targeted a ton. Peterson is a star, and I like the thought of getting any star player, but you gave up an easy top 10 WR and a top 10-15 RB. Your WRs are significantly weaker without Marshall, as there's really no reason to start any of your 3 remaining guys in a 10-team league unless it's a bye week.

  19. They can't.
  20. Isn't every prospect that isn't a 4-5 tool player a "prove it at each level" or "generic" type of player? Obviously, those 4-5 tool hitters are going to be given the benefit of the doubt most times. They are going to get promoted or fast tracked to the majors. They aren't typically early round draft picks who the team is counting on in the future. And just because a prospect fails to make it, doesn't mean he was "generic". Eric Patterson was a top 2-3 round talent that fell to the 8th and put up a .940 OPS in his first season of pro baseball. LeMahieu and Flaherty were 6'3"+ middle IF prospects who projected to add weight and potentially put up elite power numbers from the 2B position. Ronny Cedeno was pretty highly regarded and has stuck around the majors for a while because of his defense and offensive potential from the middle IF. I wouldn't call any of those 4 "generic". As for the current guys, Watkins is probably "generic" in the grand scheme of things. He wasn't highly drafted or regarded, but he's shown that he can get on base and has increased his power output at each level. I would say the same for Bruno, though he hasn't shown it at each level, he was one of the best players in his league this year. Torreyes and Amaya are far from generic though. Torreyes was the youngest player in his league the last couple years, he tore the cover off the ball at 18 in the MWL last year. He was unlucky this year, but his ability to put the ball in play is far from ordinary. Amaya was also just 19 this year, walked in almost 10% of his PAs, hit 8 HRs at 175lbs, after hitting 0 in the DSL and AZL.
  21. If he was in my NFL PPR league he would have 61.3 points today.
  22. Yeah there's no reason for anyone to pick Matt Barkley over him at this point. High school offense or not. Geno is throwing the ball exactly where he wants on every single throw in this game and most of the year. Heisman Trophy, #1 pick. He's a smarter, darker version of Tony Romo. He has way better wheels than Romo. I said "darker", kinda comes with the territory. Completing 83% of his passes.....FOR THE SEASON....160 throws.

  24. My game preview is on my blog. I wouldn't be surprised to see a decent amount of points scored. Both offenses are better than they've looked the last 2 weeks. Dallas' defense isn't as good as the stats indicate. I think they can be run against and I think their CBs can be beaten by the double move. On the other side, I worry about the Cowboys size/speed combo from their WRs. Should be Tim Jennings toughest matchup of the year, regardless of who he gets. Worried about DJ Moore vs. whoever Dallas puts in the slot also. I'm going to predict 27-23 Bears, but will admit this is probably as tough a game to call as there has been in the NFL this year. http://www.mr-irrelevantpgh-chi.blogspot.com/
  25. Nothing. They're kind of the same player. You dont' think Dallas has better receivers? Better O-Line? By that I meant that I think Cutler would put up similar numbers to Romo the last few years. And Romo would have similar numbers to Cutler the last few years. Basically, I don't think if you switched QBs between Chicago and Dallas that either team would be any better or worse off than they are now. Romo's numbers of the last 4 years have been much better because he's had better people to throw to, better people to block for him, and better people calling plays than Cutler.
