  1. Is there anyway the Cubs can get Morrison, Stanton, and/or Nolasco. edit: WOW, Nolasco is going to be 30 next month? Nevermind on him. I'll take the other 2 though.
  2. Yeah Dallas Thomas is one of my ideal picks for the Bears. I really like DJ Fluker too. Both guys are potential starters at LT or LG. At this point, the Bears almost have to go OL or TE first. Gotta get Jay more help. I'd rather not draft a TE that early but it is an option. DT looks good, as Collins has been pretty good in limited duty. I'm thinking I want another WR somewhere though too. Hester is bad but Bennett has been nowhere to be found either. I think a slot WR would be pretty nice. Gotta get Jay as much help as possible.
  3. Bears had some interest before, but I don't see the point now. He hasn't been good for a few years and the Bears have plenty of DL depth.
  4. What about Jon Stewart? You know, without NC around anymore, someone has to pick up the slack. What happened to NC? Is this something I missed? Good developments in his life caused him to have vastly less time to spend online. Read: He's Mitt Romney. I could see that.
  5. Bad calls, Cutler injury, the bottom line is the Bears left too many points on the field last night. - Davis fumbled across midfield, going in the direction of the wind. The Bears would have had a 2nd and 3 from the 48, a make-able 1st down...with 1 more 1st down needed for FG range. Worst case, Houston doesn't get a short field and get a FG. Potentially a 6-point swing. - Bush's fumble was at the 32. FG range. 3 points taken off the board - Cutler's 1st INT (on Davis) was in FG range. 3 points taken off the board. Granted they did get the ball right back and got a FG on a short field. - The throw to Marshall was perfect. Not sure why he didn't catch it. Bears got a FG that drive (I believe). 4 points off the board. - The pass to Forte down the middle of the field would have been a TD (I think with a better throw, some think with a better catch). 7 points off the board. - The "illegal forward pass" BS call, the Bears would have had the ball at the 2 1/2. Hester got to the 5, add on 1/2 distance to goalline due to penalty. Probably took off 7 points. At worst 3. - Cutler's 2nd INT came with the Bears about 6-7 yards away from a sub-50 yard FG. - Play calling after the long pass to Marshall potentially took 4 points off the board. - The Bears also punted from the Houston 37. Their own 44. And obviously missed a FG. Houston didn't really come close to scoring other than when they actually scored. The Bears should have won this game despite the terrible calls, Cutler's injury, and Kellen "The Devil" Davis.
  6. Creek didn't look to have very much athletic ability. Still looks to have straight line speed, but lateral movement was lacking. But yeah, he's on this team to kind of be Matt Roth from last year. 8-12 minutes per game, get lost (by the D) behind the arc, catch it and shoot.
  7. He won't miss 2 games.
  8. FWIW, I needed 18 points from Forte and Gould tonight to win my fantasy matchup. I lost by 3.8 points. If Gould makes what would have turned out to be a meaningless 48-yard FG, I win by 0.2. Last week I lost by 4 because Percy Harvin AND Antonio Brown both get hurt in the 1st half and combine for 7 points. The week before I lost by 2 because Tony Romo threw a late INT to the Giants D. Lost 3 in a row by a combined 10 points after starting 6-1.
  9. See check downs all the time in the 2-minute. Usually they aren't covered check downs, but it's a way to get easy yardage, especially when you have plenty of time and a timeout. Usually a QB......even a pretty bad one......will not throw that checkdown when a defender is right there, waiting to make the tackle. Apparently, JC is a different breed. Just throw it to the checkdown even if it is a guaranteed sucky play. Well yeah, I didn't say those were good ideas. Just that it does happen, and quite often at that.
  10. Didn't put him thru the tests yet. He played the rest of the half with a concussion vs the Giants 2 years ago. Vick played a few plays after a concussion today. Unless it's a pretty obvious KO type hit, the QB is going to stay in if he says he can stay in.
  11. See check downs all the time in the 2-minute. Usually they aren't covered check downs, but it's a way to get easy yardage, especially when you have plenty of time and a timeout.
  12. Call the Cutler play correct, and the Bears win this game. It would also help if Kellen Davis were not living today.
  13. How about that blocked punt from last week?
  14. There's almost 0 chance Jason Campbell leads a 2-minute drive for a game-tying TD.
  15. Hopefully, he's dead.
  16. Seems like every time Gould misses one, he wins the game with a FG later. (or maybe that only happened once)
  17. Seriously, do these MFers have a [expletive] rule book?
  18. Gotta make them pay for these short fields. Time to just quickly get the ball into Marshall or Forte's hands in space. Those are the 2 playmakers. Time for them to get us a lead.
  19. Conte has to make that tackle on Foster. I hated the call to the Cover 2 when Schaub has had trouble with the Bears in man coverage.
  20. The Bears have never had a good one. But I have hope, since they finally got a QB and a WR for the first time in franchise history.
  21. Gotta leak Forte out on that play to give him some options. Same play they used and ran Marshall underneath for a TD a couple weeks ago. Gotta make the D make a decision, take the dumpoff or leave the endzone.
  22. Don't tell the Texans. When the Bears have a FB and 2 TE set, they're running.
  23. Ok. Campbell can actually throw the deep pass. Just throw it up to Marshall first play.
  24. Jason Campbell play [expletive] football! Throw the ball.
