  1. The Bears really like Louis. I could see them bringing him back for cheap once he passes his physical probably in August/Sept. If Carimi is solid at RG just gives u more options. Get linemen playing well and then figure out where to put them.
  2. [expletive] So, a guy his size, he's probably done for next year too right? I can't imagine bringing an OL back from injury in December next year.... I think he'll be back. I know he's not Peterson, but if he can play after the same surgery on New Years, then I would think Louis could make it back by at least October having the surgery a month earlier and not having to be concerned about cutting and planting. Bigger concern is he is a FA and do u resign him if u don't know if he's healthy until right before the season.
  3. Seems pretty low but I guess it makes sense with the injuries.
  4. NFL scheduling is so stupid. It seems like one of the teams that has played on SNF football one week plays on MNF the next, and vice versa. This is how you do it NFL. Can still have your Thursday Night opener. Can still have your 3 Thanksgiving games. Schedule all the Thursday games during the time when teams have bye weeks (Weeks 4-11). Still gives you 9 TNF games for NFL Network, including the opener. Hell, you can have Saturday games in December too when college football is over. Schedule teams coming off byes on TNF. That gives 16 teams their byes. 6 more can have theirs before Tgiving (Cowboys, Lions, always the week before I guess). Then you can sprinkle in the last 10 wherever. I think players/coaches would take only a week and a half bye over having to turn around and play in 3 days.
  5. Yeah, well, Jeffrey said his knee was fine too. Yeah, that doesn't say much. "Fine" could mean they think he plays next week or could simply be that they don't fear his ACL is torn. I don't think his ACL is torn either, but I wouldn't be surprised to see MCL and 3-4 weeks out.
  6. So is starlin Castro There were five position players 23 and under who posted better fWARs than Castro this season. I really don't see how you can seriously claim he's one of the top 4-5 most valuable assets in all of MLB. How many of them played shortstop?
  7. Yeah, the Louis injury is the most concerning. I'm not too worried about Briggs. Expect that he'll play. A little worried about Tillman, but as good as he is, he shouldn't be necessary to have on the field to beat the Seahawks. They are actually a worse passing team than the Bears. And the current version of Sidney Rice doesn't scare me vs. Kelvin Hayden. Not too worried about Spencer, I suspect that he will be able to play. He's kind of a machine. Didn't miss any time last year when it looked like he was seriously injured a couple times (played w/ broken hand). I'm pretty sure Forte won't be able to play for a couple weeks. But not too concerned about that. Bush is fine, and the Bears are going as far as their passing game goes anyway. Forte has been a non-factor actually most of this year, in the run and pass game. Hester is obviously not as vital to the Bears success as he was a few years ago, and provides nothing on offense. If he has to miss, no big deal other than WR depth. Making Sanzenbacher active gives the Bears the same depth they had to start the game today. But Louis is the best OL on this team. May not be saying much, but for a unit that's already not good, taking away their best player isn't going to help. Especially if you're looking at depth of an undrafted rookie (James Brown) and Carimi playing out of position. If either Louis or Spencer is out multiple weeks, may have to hit up the waiver wire for a body. Be interesting to see what the Bears do if they need multiple bodies this week. I'd imagine Cheta Ozugwu is out of a roster spot if the Bears have to go out and get a RB. But other than that, the Bears don't really have any dead space on the roster. Do you cut McCown again? Zach Bowman has been a key special teamer of late, do you get rid of him or McManis? What about Okoye or Toeina? Both have been inactive in recent weeks with the Bears going with only 3 DTs. Bears will be in a tough position if they have to go out and find a 3rd RB or a 7th/8th OL.
  8. I noticed Briggs out for the last drive but he was with Tillman standing up and cheering the D. Walking boots are scary but Ahmad Bradshaw wore one like everyday last year and didn't miss any time. Like to think those 2 play....don't have much hope for Forte, Spencer, Louis, and Hester.
  9. Potentially missing their best 2 defensive players, best OL-man, and 3rd best offensive player is a viable excuse.
  10. When did Bears put him in at G? After Louis got hurt? Yes
  11. I have terrible bad memories of them sacking Cutler 7 times and beating us with various bad quarterbacks They beat the crap out of Hanie last yr. And murdered Knox.
  12. Carimi is still bad. Better at G than T though
  13. Zach Bowman in coverage!
  14. Ugh, hit the ground.
  15. Damn, wanted him to score.
  16. Tillman isn't a free agent until after next season. Due 8.5 Mil though (or something like that). Has to be restructured for sure.
  17. Green Bay game, Houston game, today.
  18. He should catch that.
  19. Hey, he still sucks!
  20. How the hell did Marshall go halves of 2 different games with no catches? He's caught every pass with blanket coverage by 3 people. Just throw him the damn ball.
  21. He got 10 yards every time he touched it that drive.
  22. Bend don't break.
  23. WRight's out now.
