  1. He had the really bad missed tackle, but I actually thought he looked pretty decent after that. He had a couple of pass deflections, nearly had an INT -- more often than not, he was in the right spot and he actually looked like an NFL safety. Losing to Seattle is nothing to be ashamed of, but damn, the ILB's on this team suck. I don't really know how Thompson has neglected to improve that position until later rounds in the draft but that's pretty frustrating. I was relived the Packers passed on Mosley for Clinton-Dix. Clinton-Dix had a few missed tackles. Did put himself in good position a few times to miss those tackles, so there's that. I always felt Haha was the third best safety in the draft behind Pryor and Ward, so I have to make sure I'm not rating him too hard after that. I had him 2nd best S (I think) and close to #1, but I didn't like the value of him before the mid-to-late 20s. I would have much rather taken Bucannon in the 2nd (which I thought he would fall to at the time) than HCD in the 1st.
  2. Are PFF grades out for this game? I want to see how Clinton Dix did and if it was as horrible as I thought he looked. Glad the Bears didn't pick him.
  3. Cutler upset with teammates is about the same as Rivers/Rodgers/every QB. Cutler doesn't really complain about everything else all the time like those 2 guys do though. I'm pretty sure Cutler just gives an "F you" to the refs and walks off (to smoke a cigarette). But only 1 NFL QB has THIS face: http://38.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l8e8e12jlc1qdbhiqo1_400.jpg
  4. But they're defenses have been bottom 1/4 every year other than 2 top 5 seasons under Payton.
  5. Probably Thomas, though would consider Bell. I'd say Edelman. He's going to get 7-8 catches most games. Oh [expletive]. I read Edelman, and thought Amendola. Though I do think Pierre will catch 4-6, along w/ rushing yards.
  6. I don't see that last sentence as necessarily a bad thing. What does Sean Payton know about defense? But he has a ring and a perennial contender.
  7. HAS TO? Hard to improve greatly on 4300 yards passing, 6100 total O and 28ppg.
  8. Interesting stats. The Bears are opening at home for the 5th straight season, and have won all of the previous 4. The Bills are 0-5 all time at Soldier Field. Cutler is 12-4 against AFC teams since joining the Bears. The Bears have made the NFC Championship and the Superbowl the last 2 times they've played the AFC East in the preceeding season.
  9. I know he has had that reputation but I think that recent anecdotal evidence and stats suggest otherwise. So many ways to get around an injury to a TE or RB when you have 2 All pro WRs. TE goes down, you just play more 4 WRs, especially now that you have Morgan and Holmes with some big time experience as the 3-4. Forte goes down, you let Cutler throw the ball 70% of the time instead of 60-65%. Leave an extra blocker on the OL, get rid of the ball quicker, leave a TE or FB in the backfield. Edit: oh yeah, I quoted this post to agree. Forte got his ass kicked blocking last year. Eagles game was terrible from him.
  10. Probably Thomas, though would consider Bell.
  11. That's why Crabtree was one of my favorite draft targets this year. Eli and Cruz have a good connection too, though, and I'm not sure which will connect better. New offense for Giants. I'd go with Crabtree.
  12. Tennessee will have a great shot to win a championship next year, with all these guys from Daytona. They won't have any guys that will be flying thru the system, except maybe Schwarber if he's moved from catcher. Last year's Daytona team had Javy come and go, Bryant, Soler, Vogelbach all with stops there, but then none of them stayed very long in TN this year (Javy not at all).
  13. Jackson has never been good in September apparently. And I really like Crabtree/Kap as a connection. Kap seemed to go to him when he got healthy last year.
  14. That's a pretty good team in a 14-man league.
  15. Cutler Ellington Wilson slightly over Cutler (toss up though) Wayne Rivers (I'd like to see how Cam does with his lack of WRs and injury before starting him) I got Lamar Miller/Ben Tate. Tate going against the Steelers D, which isn't great anymore but still don't give up a lot of 100 yard games. Miller is the starter, but may lose 3rd down reps to Knowshon last I read.
  16. Probably not the best to do this, but what the hell....I'll give it a shot. Underwood Zastryzny Black Blackburn Stinnett Martinez Mejia Steele Sands Torrez Clifton Paniagua Norwood Skulina Williams Pugliese Pineyro
  17. Ugh. Didn't realize I had them losing twice to GB. That was just a quick run thru.
  18. Buf W @SF W @NYJ W GB L @Car W @Atl L Mia W @NE L @GB L Min W TB W @Det L Dal W NO W Det W @Min L 10-6. Bears lose finale sitting out starters for most of the 2nd half of the final game vs. a Minnesota team that's playing good football late in the year with Teddy Bridgewater at QB.
  19. In my PPR league last year, Forte was the 2nd highest scoring RB. Dalton was a top 5 scoring QB. Thomas and Johnson are the top 2 WRs according to many rankings. Ball has top 5-10 RB potential in that offense. Your depth sucks, but who cares? NE D and Vinateri are solid for $1 too.
  20. That's a really bad 10-team league. Looks like your 1st 3 picks were the Broncos players, but I think Julius Thomas may have been a slight reach and I don't see a guy that I deem worthy of a 4th round pick. If by some odd chance the Broncos get shutdown and held to under 20 points, you'll get destroyed.
  21. Was just coming to post this. A May Cubs lineup without Castro and Rizzo would have looked like: 2B Bonafacio RF Kalish 3B Valbuena 1B Olt LF Lake C Castillo CF Sweeney SS Barney P Jackson (just for the sake of horribleness)
  22. Leadoff double, followed by a single. After that, Stinnett was perfect (other than a HBP) and only allowed 1 ball to leave the infield. The run scored on a catch error where Stinnett had the guy picked off of 3rd (I believe).
  23. Dallas Beeler was not called up to the majors because he hit his innings limit. He has 135.1 IP this year. Well, Tayler Scott will pass that if he gets out of the 1st. This after 130 IP last year for Scott. Maybe it has something to do with Beeler's injury in 2012, but that seems odd.
  24. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu and Trae Waynes are probably the best two CBs in next year's draft - they're tons of fun to watch. Definitely can't wait for this game. Ekpre-Olomu is one of my top 10 overall players. Mariota is #1. Calhoun is top 15. Drummond #2 S.
  25. Oregon and Michigan St. is the game of the year. So much NFL talent on the field. For MSU: DE-Calhoun, QB- Cook, CB- Wayns, FS- Drummond, RB- Langford are all potential top 50 picks. For Oregon: QB- Mariota, CB- Ekpre-Olomu, C-Grasu, DL- Armstead are all going to be picked the first 2 days.
