  1. Man, I still remember how excited I was when the Score broke in to announce the Bears had traded for him.
  2. I'm on the Jimmy G bandwagon (as long as it's not the #3 pick)! He's got the handsomeness I'm looking for in a QB.
  3. I really like Goff.
  4. I'm kind of torn on him as well. I expect he'll cut down on the running significantly in the NFL. Just looking at the numbers this year, he wasn't an effective runner (3.8 ypc). It's hard for me to project how these spread QBs will do in the NFL. He took so many snaps yesterday from the shotgun and would just stand there flat footed until he decided to throw.
  5. In Chicago, the final wait for a Cubs win mixes joy and sorrow A little dusty in here all the sudden...
  6. Without question the most dramatic sporting event I have ever watched. My anxiety was so high it was almost painful to watch at the end. It was really satisfying to see them stumble on the threshold, then battle back and win anyway. Great team.
  7. Glad to hear you do not sob uncontrollably on a regular basis.
  8. I thought someone said a page or 2 back that there were $100 covers The best option if you are on a budget is likely to go to Southport or Lincoln Ave bars for the game. If the Cubs look like they're going to do it you are still a short walk from bedlam. This is the right call. Paying $100 to stand and watch the game in a packed "Club Corn" sounds absolutely miserable.
  9. I don't think you're being sensitive enough about this.
  10. This video perfectly captures why I have no interest in going to Bears/NFL games anymore. Two dopes getting into a fist fight over different colored shirts. I mean, that happens at every sporting event at some point but it's incredibly easy to go to an opposing team's stadium with your team's clothing and avoid anything remotely close to a fight. Those were just two idiots that went into the day with a desire to fight. If you aren't like that, that won't happen. It's also not a "anymore" type situation, since stupid drunk fans fighting is a tale as old as time. It's an "anymore" type situation for me since I used to attend games, but no longer do. It's more that I don't want to deal with it anymore, not that things have actually changed at the games. I know this stuff happens to an extent at many sporting events, but my anecdotal experience is that things get way more out of hand at NFL games. I've seen plenty of people who are minding their own business become the target of some drunk knuckle-dragger at a Bears game. YMMV.

  12. I'm seriously stunned by the quality of this broadcast. How could it be this bad?
  13. So many thumb injuries.
  14. Don't most franchise tag players skip voluntary OTAs when they are negotiating for a long term contract? Seems like a weird thing to "seethe" about for someone who has been around as long as Fox.
  15. Good god does this show look horrendous. And damn, did he age like 30 years in the last 5? He looks terrible.
  16. I remember a few people had A'Shawn Robinson mocked to the Bears at #11. I like the defensive players left better than the offensive ones. Anyone like Braxton Miller? Will he go 2nd or 3rd?
  17. I feel bad for this kid. I have no issue with him smoking weed or getting paid. I'm actually glad he was getting paid. It's brutal that someone maliciously leaked all of that stuff right before what should have been the most exciting night of his life.
  18. Yeah but Jeff Dickerson gave him a thumbs down.
