  1. Any truth to the rumor that there is a gale force wind blowing out?
  2. I think we, as the fans of this organization, have earned the right to overreact by watching this team everyday in the hopes of a meaningless victory. Oh - and Z has been one of the constants, not getting hurt. This does not happen everyyear, but it could be "his year" Yes, actually it does happen every year. Heavy arm is common and Zambrano has experienced as much in the past seasons as well. The symptoms he's experiencing could be a result of anything. Your reaction is as unjustified and unsupportable as any other reaction.
  3. Our journey to 100 losses just got a little easier.
  4. IMO, that will never happen. The Sox (and their fans) consider Guillen to be "one of their own", and he is widely loved because he acts like a prick. Just wait. Because they are winning, everything is gumdrops, lollipops, and rainbows everywhere. When things start getting tough and Ozzie is completely out of control (these instances will increase in frequency when things aren't going well) people will turn on him, and fast. Let's not try to act like the White Sox fan base isn't fickle. The Sox could barely half fill the stadium up until the all-star break last year. Ozzie will say something that will make John Rocker say WHA?!?! It's only a manner of time. Things were getting a little hot for Ozzie last year before the White Sox exploded. Read this article, he is taking some pretty heavy criticism. Imagine when the team stinks and he is saying stuff like this (and he will)? See ya...good bye. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/john_donovan/04/25/guillen.ordonez/
  5. I lustily booed Neifi at every at bat when I went to the game on Tuesday. The surrounding fans were confused.
  6. Ha. So true. I was listening to the pregame on WGN radio today and Dusty was giving all sorts of excuses for the loss yesterday. He was saying they weren't really hitting the ball hard against Maddux, just a bunch of bloops. Then he said the Cubs were hitting the ball hard, but they were just hitting it right at people. Pretty much the token excuse this year. "Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a b@#$!?" That's all I can think when he spouts that inane "hit it right at the wrong people" excuse. Yeah, no crap, dummy! That's how people are caught/thrown out! Quit acting like people catching the ball is so unfair and unusual! Truly, this is the worst excuse of all time. You hit the ball at people when you lose in baseball. This is equivalent to saying, 'Yeah, we made great pitches but they kept running into bats that were traveling very quickly in the opposite direction.' Or a running back saying, 'Yeah, I was running really fast but then someone got in my way and I fell down.'

  8. Wow. I just tried to read this thread.
  9. Is he staying in the game or are we likely to have Blanco hitting 3rd for the rest of the game now?
  10. Jesus. How fast is Ozzie going to run himself out of town when things get tough? The White Sox aren't going to win forever and when they start losing in a few years, Ozzie is going to be run out of town so fast it is going to make your head spin.
  11. Even better. Molina's VORP: -9.3 Let's put that into prospective. Henry Blanco VORP: -7.2 Molina Rules!!!
  12. Paul Lo Duca? VORP Lo Duca: 5.5 Barrett: 17.2
  13. Is it illegal in Illinois for Walker and Nevin to play at the same time? Don't be stupid. Where would the speed go? How much slower would the game go without those fast guys running back to the dugout after weakly grounding out? Use your head.
  14. Neifi is an abomination. The fact that he is on this team is mind boggling. "Boy! I wonder why we can't score any runs with Pierre and Neifi in the lineup!" Just unlucky I guess!!!"
  15. I'll be at this game. If you want to look for me, I'll be the one in a Cubs shirt.
  16. Vasher didn't show for the voluntary OTA's.
  17. Yah, it's really no big deal as long as he's good to go for the World Series.
  18. Has 'Roidjols' caught on yet?
  19. I just came up with a great nickname for Pujols!!!! Roidjols!!!!! Let me know what you think.
  20. I'm more interested in Cuban's approach than his money.
