  1. Pierre also sucks at hitting and throws like a girl.
  2. Take him out. Take him out. Take him out. Take him out. Take him out. Take him out. Take him out.
  3. Pitch to contact Z! Your arm is going to fall off!!!
  4. Dusty will keep him in as long as he has a no hitter.
  5. Only Big Z could have a no hitter going but walk 6 dudes.
  6. he gave him 3 years cause other teams were offering him 2 and he didn't want encanarcion, sanders and burnitz. sure he likes him, but he doesn't "covet" Jones-types. that's absurd. he covets beltran-types, but the trib doesn't covet 7yr and 119 contracts. What is absurd is the fact that it's true that Hendry likes Jones type players. It's painfully obvious to anybody that has paid attention to Hendry moves and/or listened to what he says he likes in a player. so flip flopping on the coveting charge? jones hasn't sucked like many predicted. calm down. What? How am I flip flopping? Man, you really like acting like a jerk don't you. Hendry covets this type of player. He's happy as a pig in spit that he got him and he's going to keep him. another in a long line of over-the-top statements. Yeah, nothing is more over the top then basing your arguments on trends and information. Ooh, don't forget that common sense sometimes helps. As do direct quotes from Hendry. Forget all that, it's too confusing. I'm going with my gut on this one.

  8. You aren't. You evidentally know very little about Cuban and what he does. Some of my colleagues attended an advanced Excel workshop sponsored by Microsoft in Dallas yesterday. The star of the show was a guy from the Mavericks organization talking about how he uses Excel to statistically analyze everything about the game, and that the Mavericks organization is obsessed with the use of statistical analysis. We wouldn't want that kind of influence in the world of Cubdom. I think Cuban's public persona is a deliberate marketing ploy - not to mention the strategic advantage if your competition thinks you're an idiot. This is really cool, by the way. I heard that they keep a pretty extensive database of information on each team and use it to game plan.
  9. No, you guys are wrong! The only reason we like him is because he acts crazy, has a lot of money, and is a fan!!! His hair is messy and he wears t-shirts!!
  10. What the heck is ARam doing in the six hole? This might be the orst lineup I have ever seen. Simply awful. Look at the black hole at 1,2... What a fricken joke.
  11. You aren't. You evidentally know very little about Cuban and what he does.
  12. I think Thomas Jones will show up. He really doesn't have any leverage. Briggs on the otherhand, is a little worrisome...
  13. Right towards the end, I think.
  14. Wow, what weak sauce wishy washy answers. Thanks for the insight, Tim.
  15. Are you questioning the 'Tough breaks' theory? 'Tough breaks' are clearly the reason why we haven't been scoring many runs.
  16. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=15635 Briggs and Thomas Jones were no shows. Despite this being mostly propoganda, the Currie information about Currie's play is good to hear.
  17. Mariotti is an angry, spiteful, fat toad. It's no surprise that people only like what he writes when the chips are down. Since the chips are down, I agree with him here and appreciate his vitriol.
  18. Yeah, somebody should have suggested that the Cubs sit Maddux at the end of last year and not let him reach that vesting option, so that they weren't dumping $9 million on a mediocre pitcher this year. Yeah, if we'd have done that we'd probably be looking at 15 games over 500 right now.
  19. the NBA is a lot different than the MLB, namely the salary cap. his team is also in the western conference finals Sorry, I was being sarcastic. I'm a huge Cuban supporter and most of the criticism of him I see around here, is petty and invalid.
  20. Mark Cuban wears a T-shirt and his hair is messy!! How can such a man possibly succeed? I mean, he hasn't even won a championship yet. It's been like 5 years. What's the holdup, Mark!?!?!!
