  1. don't catch it. leave. That nice reply was not addressed to me but thanks anyway - I think I will.
  2. If ( and probably when ) they lose this one it will be the first time this season they have lost 2 in a row. I'm not going to panic yet.
  3. so, they're never going to win a title? Yup it's all over - I wouldn't be suprised if mlb just shut them down for good. Or maybe then they would move the Marlins here?
  4. That 3 triples line is phat. He must be all that slow either. btw, i think DLee could have had a triple on that deep double last nite if he had hustled. (disclaimer: not saying he wasn't hustling, but he really didn't need to hustle seeing what the game score was. So it's ok.) The man also has phat glute muscles if you've seen him.
  5. We'll be wearing the road grays tonight which I believe is the key to our success.
  6. Dodgers just plunked Bonds..........ha ha
  7. I was thinking the same thing. Dunston had a cannon and every so often he would just laser one into the 1st base box seats. :)
  8. Unless of course you are Big Z and the opposing pitcher is tearing up the basepaths.
  9. It would seem to me that Slappy has scored 6 runs in 7 games and they all counted toward the final score.
  10. I'm pretty sure he just said something about large Buffalo sexual organs
  11. I watched the Brave's game last night - had to laugh when Cox brought Remmy out to start an inning where he would be facing Utley and Howard. He got Burrell out, then hit Utley and gave up a hit to Howard at which point Cox pulled him. No need for the left specialist any more with righties coming up!
  12. I gotta agree with that - something should have happened to the Mets. I bet Pedro gets plunked this week against the Nationals.
  13. Minnesota kind of sucks now that they don't have him??
  14. I wouldn't read too much into that. The ump's strikezone was tiny. So of the 2 games the Cubs have played this year we can assume that the other 160 are going to be like the 2nd game? I think the 2nd game is a closer reflection of what to expect. Pitchers are not in midseason form. Do you expect Zambrano to be as sloppy as he was in game 1 all season long? I sure don't. So by game 2 they are in midseason form and the rest of the season will be like game 2. OK I get it. Now it appears you are being argumentative for the sake of being argumentative. The Cubs scored 16 runs in game 1 and they scored 6 runs in game 2. Over the couse of the season, do you think the Cubs will average closer to 16 runs scored, or 6 runs? No, pitchers will not be in midseason form in game 2. Actually I'm ok with either. Sorry I'm not trying to be argumentative - I just think it's a little premature to be making a lot of assumptions on how the season is going to go based on 2 games.

  17. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Cubs take 7 walks and score 16 runs on Monday??
  18. Neifi on pace for 243 ab's and 0 starts
  19. It's the end of the world as we know it....................and I feel fine.
  20. 6 runs is pretty good for the offense. Not worried about the Offense I'm worried about the sloppy defense play. Catching the ball so to speak?
  21. Try accessing it from today's MLB scoreboard page. You may get the Reds audio but you can switch to the Cubs from there. Good call - that worked for me. Thank You!
  22. Yes - tried to get at it from several angles and still can'T
  23. Actually, I would WELCOME this being a viable concern seeing as that would mean that Niefi got 550+ AB's in 2006. Unfortunately, I think he's right on schedule to land that many at bats. Doesn't he have to have at least 1 at bat before he can be on schedule to have 550+?
