    I think it may be just the opposite. If Selig decides to move the games to the end of the season, it's very likely that the Cubs will have alreadly clinched the division and will be fielding a team full of minor leaguers for the make-up games. If the Astros are still in the Wild Card race at that time, it would give them a decided advantage.

    Someone posted the stats before, but I believe that a majority of Lee's home runs this season were hit with the wind blowing out at Wrigley. As the weather begins to change in late September and into the playoffs, I don't expect any sort of power production out of him whatsoever.

    No way will this ever happen, but I heard someone suggest it on the radio today and it struck me as a decent idea... How about moving Lee to leadoff and Soriano to #3?

    That stat is unreal, Lee is hitting .301 with runners on base this season. I don't ever recall a player whose perceived performance has varied so much from his actual numbers.

    With rain headed toward St. Louis, would anyone else be in favor of skipping Harden tonight and throwing some combination of Guzman/Wells/Smardzija instead? That would give Harden another 3-4 days to rest the shoulder with only a couple starts left prior to the playoffs.

    Not a big fan? Kaplan lost any shred of respectability when he interviewed Chris Duhon a couple months ago and went out of his way to repeatedly mention how much the Bulls are going to miss him. First of all, no they won't... and secondly, stop kissing his ass.

    I wouldn't exactly say that Lou was in a rage after the game, but he is clearly getting frustrated with the way the team is playing. "You gotta get your damn shirts rolled up and kick somebody's @$$. Period."
