It's fine but the constant complaining every time a team were competing against scores a run and it's only mid-August is a bit strange I find it less annoying than the constant BABIP complaining.

And if the Pirates keep playing well, good. I would much rather see them in a one-game playoff than the Giants, home field advantage or not.

So they should just write the problem off as "the yips" and not do anything about it? I'm no sports psychologist, but there must be SOME way to attempt to address the problem other than ignoring that it exists. The only way I know to fix it is to recite Victoria's secret catalog text.

I am truly curious, does Lester not practice making throws in practice? And if so, are there balls flying every which way on every throw? Or does he not have the issue in practice? How can this be fixed?

I know he has been pitching great, but this is ridiculous.

Coghlan is from the Jake Fox school of supersubs. He plays a lot of positions and plays most, if not all, of them poorly. If it is possible to park him where he can cause the least damage (Left Field) and have another more competent defender (Baez) at a key defensive position, I would be in favor of that. The Cubs are making the best of what they have to work with right now, but I would certainly not be married to Coghlan in the supersub role.

I don't know, but a lot of Soler's hits have that Baseball Simulator 1.000 feel where if the fielder were to catch it they would be carried into the outfield wall.

I know it's probably the right move, but I don't like Ross coming up here with Schwarber's spot due to lead off in the event that the Giants tie this up.
