    By offering him a max deal. Or letting another team. Bird rights and RFA means he's ours if we want him. I understand that it is possible, but wouldn't it put them into uncharted luxury tax territory? That certainly doesn't seem like something Reinsdorf would be thrilled about.

    Assuming Wood losses his spot in the rotation, who would you rather keep in the bullpen, him or Jackson? I still think Jackson has much more upside as a reliever, but I expect the Cubs would lean toward Wood because of the supposed flexibility that he provides off the bench.
