His decision to not throw that ball also may be what limited the damage this inning. That was not an easy throw to make even for a good defensive pitcher.

It was a ball that a pitcher would typically field, but it would have been a tough play and I would prefer that Lester just do what he did instead of throwing the ball down the right field line.
