  1. Was any cash involved or are the Cubs assuming all of Coghlan's remaining $4.8 Million salary?
  2. He had a moment where he was like "Thats a pitch down and in *pause* and Fowler over the top of it" like god damnit ron, tell me the part of how its a strike before you make it sound like a ball I get irrationally angry and yell at the radio in the car when Coomer is spewing his nonsense. I don't think my wife gets it.
  3. They mean 34 year old Maddux It isn't completely crazy to make the comparison to a mid-30's Maddux, and I don't think anyone would be disappointed with that being Hendricks' ceiling. Multiple years of mid-30's Maddux from a cost-controlled player who was essentially a trade throw-in... I'll take it.
  4. What if he had the ability to do that all along, but just couldn't beat the perception that he always gets hit hard the third time through the order?
  5. i've never heard coomer but you guys make it sound like a hilarious experience Not hilarious at all. And seemingly EVERY time I turn on the Cubs radio broadcast, it is the 5th inning.
  6. That was still worse, but this is close, if they don't get rid of Richard, there's a serious mental block somewhere... I don't think they will until they find another lefty I don't think Terry Mulholland is doing much these days and I'm pretty sure he could give us better innings than Richard.
  7. I thought #2 was a double play off the bat, but the first and third were both hit fairly hard.
  8. Well, the Cubs would still have to score at some point.
  9. Clayton Richard has really been in 15 games? I was surprised to see that it was even over 10.
  10. Going back to the Soler at bat, has anyone ever done a study on 3-0 strike calls and whether umpires are statistically more likely to expand their zone?
  11. Hold on a second... Dillon Maples is still alive?
  12. It's getting pretty dark and windy outside... don't fail me now satellite dish!
  13. Wow is Peavy bad. He managed to get 2 outs in the 2nd inning, one on a bunt attempt that may have been safe and another because of a baserunning mistake.
  14. 3 swings, missed by a combined 9 feet. Good job.
  15. In hindsight, wouldn't it have made more sense to leave Ross in, preferring to have him bat instead of Federowicz?
  16. Surely this is setting up for a David Ross grand slam, right?
