    Why is always the small, scrappy guys causing these fluke injuries? Furcal to Lee, Giles to Prior, Cintron to Rolen (OK, Choi's a pretty "big" exception). Beware of Eckstein this weekend.

    Most of the questions asked were sarcastic questions. The ones that were legit were answered in a legitimate fashion if you ask me. I mean the half shirts and the gay questions, how would you answer those?

    Jake, this is not intended to be a knock against Maholm, but didn't you think the Cards should have scored more runs against him with the way he was pitching (running deep into counts, getting behind batters, the walks). I think we had 16 LOBs. If Pujols goes down, Cards are in big trouble.

    When is he going to start getting the Bonds treatment? Whywould you ever pitch to him in that situation? I wonder if the Reds even wanted to win that game. Neither team wanted to win that game. Luckily, Pujols did.

    Funny, Vance. This is the most frustrating game. The hit and run on, Luna can't make contact, and Encarnacion is out at 2nd. Then Luna gets a single and instead of no outs, runner on 1st and 3rd, there's one out and a guy on 2nd.

    I am beyond done with this guy. He blows so hard! An EASY fly to right and it would have been a double play and he just drops it. I think Juan will unseat Dunn for defensive ineptitude. I am sick, sick, sick. Edit: And now the puke face is up. Barely beats out an infield hit.

    My new nickname for Juan is "Limit the damage" as in please strike out quietly instead of hit into a double play so Pujols can at least hit.

    Care to elaborate? Are you referring to his tendency to want to "get his starters wins"? I nominate Narron, because it's always too soon to pull your starters when you have the Cincy bullpen.

    Wainwright threw three scoreless innings yesterday, 34 pitches and his K/BB was off the charts.

    McLaughlin was the Grand Marshal of the St. Louis Mardi Gras parade. A couple of friends of mine were throwing beads at him on the route and he came over to them and said "Don't be angry, no need to throw beads in anger". Anyway, we thought it was pretty funny.

    Because he is the Smartest Man in Baseball and wants everybody to remember that? Because he wants to see if anyone else in the bullpen can get someone out ever? Or because he likes to bring in a reliever to face one batter because they walk that batter with panache?

    Izzy really bleeped me off last night. Did you see the eye rolling and attitude he displayed? It was certainly a case of closer prima donna, I don't come in for the 8th inning, especially with a guy on base attitude. And I was floored that Rolen wasn't charged an error Ramirez' grounder before the Jones HR.
