There's a difference between not scoring runs and having a "horrible offensive effort." We've had 9 hits and 2 walks tonight... they just haven't come at the right times. That's not a "horrible offensive effort," it's just bad luck. This one falls on the bullpen. The good news is that the blame is spread equally over Wood and Marmol, so the "closer controversy" shouldn't get started back up.
I can't bring myself to do it because I know when I do he'll have 2 taters and a couple of steals. It's about the Cubs... not about our fantasy teams. It's the same reason I had to trade DLee right before his power came back last season. I'll work on acquiring Aramis, and then bench him too. My team's bench should be full of raking Cubs.
Funny thing is that Wagner really is right-handed. He only started throwing lefty at age 10 or 11 because he broke his right arm. Jesus, I wish I could just one day start throwing 100mph with my non-dominant arm. Have you actually tried throwing with your non dominant hand... maybe? Yes and I throw like a complete girl with my left hand. And that's different from how you throw with your right hand... how exactly?
I imagine Peter Angelos doesn't agree with you. I'm sure he'd rather defend what share he has of the DC area market than attempt to sell his team across the rest of the US... unless MLB lines his pockets enough to cover the difference.
I really, really wish people would stop pretending we traded Josh Hamilton. We sold our rule v draft slot for cash, since we weren't going to use it. It's not as if we actually thought "yeah, let's draft Josh Hamilton... and then we can trade him!"
