    I'm on the verge of cheering for the Cards to catch the Brewers. The odds of us actually being passed up by both the Brewers and the Cardinals is about 1%. Go ahead and root for them.

    It's pretty much unfair if they all are on. Pujols-Bonds-ARod couldn't hit them if they are on let alone Encarnacion-Patterson-Bako Even if Harden doesn't go 7 every time, we don't lose much nastiness-quotient if we slide Samardzija in there for an inning or two.

    If its good enough for the states of Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, and West Virginia, it's good enough for me. And those are just the states with the age of consent always that low... a lot of other states will allow women that young (or younger) to sleep with men as long as they're close enough in age.

    He's 28, and this is his 4th year in AAA. He was about average for a 1B in the hitter friendly PCL last year, but was no good the two years before that. In short, he's too old to be taken seriously as a prospect, and we're probably seeing his peak season right now. Does that mean I'm against keeping him on the roster and giving DLee a few rests? No. But Hoffpauir isn't our 1B of the future, isn't the 1B of now, and has very little trade value due to his age. It's nothing against the guy... but he's probably not anything more than a backup.

    That inning began with me boiling some water to cook some tortellini... it ended after I got finished eating. Kinda rare that you can prepare and eat a whole meal in a half inning.
