    It bears mentioning that Soriano is walking 6.2% of the time this season. Even he's getting into the patience act the rest of the team is. 2004 - 5.0% 2005 - 4.8% 2006 - 9.2% (lots of "unintentional" walks that season with the Nats) 2007 - 5.0% 2008 - 6.2%

    I'm on the verge of cheering for the Cards to catch the Brewers. The odds of us actually being passed up by both the Brewers and the Cardinals is about 1%. Go ahead and root for them.

    It's pretty much unfair if they all are on. Pujols-Bonds-ARod couldn't hit them if they are on let alone Encarnacion-Patterson-Bako Even if Harden doesn't go 7 every time, we don't lose much nastiness-quotient if we slide Samardzija in there for an inning or two.
