  1. The game will also be broadcast in LA on ESPN710 radio. Angels (Joe Saunders) vs Cubs (Big Z!) Soriano, CF Izturis, SS Lee, 1B Ramirez 3B Murton, LF DeRosa, 2B Blanco, C Pagan, RF Zambrano, P
  2. Sadly, the DBacks (KTAR) won't be broadcasting the March 13 game. Looks like that game won't be available via any type of broadcast. Since I had to request the DBacks spring training radio broadcast schedule via email, here it is for any lurking Arizona fans out there. AZ DiamondBacks Spring Training Radio Broadcasts, KTAR Radio Saturday, March 3 vs. White Sox – 1:05 p.m. Sunday, March 4 vs. Rockies – 7:05 p.m. Saturday, March 10 vs. Brewers – 1:05 p.m. Sunday, March 11 vs. Padres – 1:05 p.m. Saturday, March 17 vs. Royals – 1:05 p.m. Sunday, March 18 vs. Athletics – 1:05 p.m. Saturday, March 24 vs. White Sox – 1:05 p.m. Sunday, March 25 vs. Rockies – 1:05 p.m. Thursday, March 29 vs. Padres – 6:40 p.m. (@ Chase Field) Saturday, March 31 vs. Padres – 1:40 p.m. (@ Chase Field)
  3. It should be up in the next week or so, as will be the HR Derby.
  4. Thanks for the lineups, Bruce! I'll edit the Giants' into the first post. From Cubs.com: Other pitchers slated to see action Thursday include Les Walrond, John Webb, Carmen Pignatiello, Ben Howard, Rocky Cherry, Randy Wells and Jason Anderson.
  5. Bruce mentions CF as one of the secondary issues Lou is considering this spring training (after the lineup & roster issues). It is nice to see Soriano & Pie hanging out in many of the ST photos.
  6. Completely useless trivia: In 2006, Maddux faced the most batters (862) without HBP'ing anyone.
  7. I hope so, but I haven't seen them yet. Didn't they call it gameday press pass or something last ST?
  8. "I'm the leader of this band," Baker said. "It's like having a new drummer, a new trombone player, new sax, new piano man every week. Your guitarist has a broken hand. Your sax player got his teeth knocked out. We've got some guys in here who aren't going to panic. I was talking to (Todd Walker) today, and (the Boston Red Sox) lost four in a row in September. The key is never panic."
  9. Maybe Hendry, like Einstein, has a closet full of the same outfit so he doesn't have to waste precious brain resources on merely being fashionable.
  10. A coworker heard. Starke said that Clemens couldn't pitch for a National League team other than the Astros because he has a 10-year personal services contract with them. I don't know any other details.
  11. There's a link to the XM master spring training schedule on the first page of the broadcast sticky above (just so people know).
  12. Yahoo Sports has a video interview with Piniella about why he thinks he can succeed as Cubs manager.
  13. FYI -- Bruce Miles posted the lineup in the Cactus League Rotation thread and it's also being talked about in the game thread.
  14. I'm parked on the Daily Herald's website right now. I love how Bruce opened the article on Santo falling short in the HoF vote. (bold added) I'll post my email/letter later tonight.
  15. You'll get all games with a radio broadcast and you should be able to pick between home/road broadcasts if both are available. I don't know about auto-renewing.
  16. A Bruce update!!
  17. It's worth reading the full update. I pulled out the Wuertz notes because they were in the comments section in a response vs in the main part of the article. He says Rich Hill threw exceptionally well yesterday.
  18. Thanks! I added the second link to the front page. I'm going to hold off on the first until they stop showing every single game as being televised & available on MLB.tv.
  19. AZ Phil has another update at The Cub Reporter. He notes in the comments section:
  20. Someone needs to start tomorrow's game thread. :)
  21. I haven't heard of any broadcasters shoving VORP down the throats of an unwilling audience.
  22. An mp3 clip of Bruce Levine asking whether the process needs to revamped during the HoF conference call. Joe Morgan gets offended. http://espn-mp3-od.andomedia.com/stations/990/joemorgan.mp3
  23. I got an error when I tried to comment, so I just karma ++'d it instead.
