    This is a reminder for those who entered the HR Derby contest (details in the Events Forum): You can change your wildcard once during the all-star break -- ie, NOW. Please PM me your new pick. You have until midnight Friday the 13th (technically midnight the morning of Saturday the 14th) to PM me your pick. I'll post the full list sometime next weekend. I'm going to be out of town, so I'll get to it when I can. If you can't remember who you picked, you can look up your entry in the HR Derby entries thread. I edited in everyone's WC pick and there's a master list on the last post - last page. eta: I'm switching WC picks and have already PM'd my choice to Southpaw19 to avoid any conflicts. eta #2: Everyone also has two transactions -- separate from the wild card -- that they can use after the All-Star break. You can post them now to take effect for the first games after the All-Star game.

    I tremble with trepidation saying this, since I haven't checked the stats, but it also seems to me that Pie is enough of a + player defensively that if ANYONE is going to be carried for defensive purposes, it should be him. Especially since he needs playing time to develop and doesn't have much to learn at AAA.

    unfortunately for the purposes of this thread, he's neither an ace nor a big bat but he is an ass. lol, Morris thought Josh Hamilton was stealing signs from 2B the other night and walked off the mound and started arguing with him. Douche. I remember him talking a lot of crap about the Cubs back in '03 as well who cares if he talked crap about the cubs? mark prior talked a lot of crap about the cardinals that year too, none of us are complaining about it. it is a rivalry, by the way. still, no morris please. his numbers are a complete house of cards. Why would anyone here complain about Prior talking crap about the Cardinals in 2003? I rather enjoyed it.

    That's my main concern with Sean being called back up. He missed what would have been his 3rd AAA start after his last call-up. I'm hoping that they'll get him back to a starting rotation soon because another MLB starter will probably be needed at some point in the second half.

    They like Petrick, they like Gallagher starting (he hasn't pitched out of the bullpen until now), this yo-yo'ing is going to continue until they manage to free up at least one 25-man roster spot.
