    Part of the reaction from Chicago people is to the Score going nuts over this story and constantly running quotes from Mark Gonzalez, the Trib beat writer for the White Sox, saying that he'd be surprised if Pods hadn't already played his last game in a Sox uni and that he (Gonzalez) believes a deal will be worked out.

    Kevin Kennedy on XM is saying that the Dallas Morning News is reporting that two weeks ago, the Rangers offered Teixeira a long-term contract in the neighborhood of 8yr/$140M. He declined.
