    NSBB Jersey haul = pristine Matt Weber jersey filthy Joe Simokaitis jersey sweet Eric Patterson jersey (who else would I get)? :D ETA: And my Chiefs records improves to 8-2. :w00t: Quick quick thoughts: McCormick was impressive albeit with control issues. Scoreboard gun had him working consistently 92-95. Slight stature, but he can bring it. Keeps a medium high leg kick from the stretch. Paul and I were thinking that if the Chiefs had been able to score a few more runs early on, the OFers wouldn't have had to playing to defend against any XBH and the first hit Billek surrendered would have been catchable. Oh well. Nice job by Billek, of course. Paul said if he kept the no-no, we'd have to get his jersey.

    Thanks! I edited it into the list. When I listen, I usually listen to the Chiefs broadcasts, partly because I get a chance to see them play several times a season. But I really enjoy the DJaxx broadcasts when I catch them and will definitely be tuning in during the playoffs. :)

    Too tired to post anything right now other than it was a good time in Peoria and we had fun listening to the Cubs game on the drive down.

    Is there any chance there will be any Nomar items at the auction? I'll try to call in with any stories of success. My stupid cell phone doesn't always like to roam, though.

    Ouch again. I heard this one. Not much to say other than better now than in the playoffs and hopefully this will strenghten their resolve (or something). Get better, Ron -- and don't skimp on whatever follow-ups there are.

    I can talk with someone about the game all day long, but I always thought it be tough to broadcast solo. I'd probably lose touch and alternate between ranting and raving. :D

    It's also Away Jersey Koozie giveaway night & Budweiser Thirsty Thursday! Plus, the Chiefs are playing the vaunted Quad City Swing (Cardinals) in a critical series. I think we have pretty good seats where we are, or I'd grab the tickets.

    Ouch. :x Chiefs win, 8-3. They move to 22-24 in the 2nd half and make up some ground in the second-half playoff race. They also wrap up a 4-2 road trip. Gallagher picks up the win, moving to 13-4. He's again tied for the league lead in wins. He lived dangerously throughout the game, but pitched out of trouble after the first inning. Strange mix of Ks and 4-pitch walks. Sounded like he was throwing his changeup regularly. 5IPs, 5Hs, 5Ks, 4BBs, 2Rs, 2ERs, 83 pitches ---> ERA 2.29, WHIP 1.06 Luis Rivera went 4-4 and raised his batting average from .091 to .333. :D 2 RBIs, 2 RS, SB. And he made a couple of nice plays again at 3B.

    We need a spot starter! I fear that Rocket may be conflicted about tomorrow's start ... we should probably push him back a day.

    Good luck with that, Ron!! :D 2-run shot "over the comprehensive rehab sign" for Eric Patterson!!! Aaron Smith doubled in Luis Rivera in the previous at-bat. Gallagher gave up 2 runs in the first on a solo shot, double and single. The Clinton crowd sounds rowdy. 3-2 Chiefs, bottom 3rd.

    Ryan Harvey out of the Chiefs lineup tonight with a tight hamstring, which he received treatment for earlier today. It's his first game off in the second half. Eric Patterson will bat 3rd and Bo Flowers cleanup tonight.
