    If a reliever is moving up, will another player be moving up to Peoria? That should open up another slot, since Douillard was DL'd for Francisco's spot. Does Daytona have roster space? I wonder what the corresponding moves will be. Is this when Gwaltney moves up? :-k

    Chiefs take a 4-3 lead in the 8th -- Alan Rick singles in Jesse Schmidt!! Big break when the Swing pitcher, Corey Meechum (don't know the spelling, sorry), goes to a full windup with Schmidt on 2B ... Schmidt immediately takes 3rd and is credited with a SB. Per Nathan, probably couldn't have scored unless that happened. Swing mgr seems PO'D when yanking Meechum ... doesn't acknowledge him, just takes the ball from him.

    Chiefs now tied 3-3, bottom 7. All 3 runs off Estrada have been solo home runs ... of course, only 2 of those home runs were legit.

    Several people were in flashchat earlier, but it fizzled. I left because I can't run anything else, basically, when I run flashchat.

    Ball was 10 feet foul....Julio Garcia tossed as a result.... Yikes! That's why I mentioned it. :) oops NO! I didn't mean that way. Oops! I was glad you explained, Nathan, because all I heard was you say that the Swing scored a run on a phantom home run, then part of the explanation the next inning before I timed out. Hope your wife is feeling better, DJaxx. :alright:

    I'm having all sorts of connection problems tonight. Last I heard, the Chiefs were down 1-0 due to a foul home run by the Swing inexplicably being ruled fair by the home plate ump. :x I'm not sure if I'll be able to tune in without my connection collapsing again!

    7-1 Swing in the 4th. I didn't hear how all the runs scored. Nolen is still pitching; they have a game tomorrow and another doubleheader on Sunday. Chiefs don't have a base hit yet. :( I'm leaving soon for the evening ... so they'll have to rally in my absence.

    Peoria has a couple of off-days on Monday and Tuesday, so a bunch of the players are going to head up to Wrigley to catch the Braves-Cubs game.

    Chiefs win the first game 6-2 and Grant Johnson goes 7 today = a CG since it was postponed from last week. His ERA is down to 3.41. Sam Fuld goes 3/5 and his avg is up to .288.

Larsen pop-flies out, then Granato doubles off the wall Rick doubles off the wall Smith flies out - deep to the wall Rivera rbi single as the Chiefs bat around Fuld singles for his 2nd hit of the inning Simokaitis grounds out 6-0 Chiefs They've really needed an inning like this for the past week.

    Thanks! I figured that was the case with Harvey, but I've been switching between games. The Chiefs are GOING TO TOWN in the 5th! Sam Fuld - lead-off HR Simokaitis - double EPatterson - stand up triple Jesse Schmidt - HR 4-0 Chiefs!

    Ryan Harvey not in the lineup for game 1 (looks like he wasn't to start the original game) ... he's coaching 1B, though. Eric Patterson with a sparkling web gem play -- diving stop & throw -- to end the top of the 4th(?)!

    The first Peoria game is actually a continuation of the rain-delayed game from last week. It will start in the top of the third. It was scoreless when postponed.

    Good news! Even if the velocity isn't back to where it was, it's definitely an improvement. I liked what he had to say about moving to the bullpen, then back into the rotation.

    I think they must have updated the boxscore, because it now shows 19 LOB between both teams. The Chiefs have been just abysmal at being able to score with RISP lately. The Boise Hawks web page lists this under Transactions: 08/16/2005 Inactive RHP Jon Hunton placed on inactive list by Chicago Cubs
