  1. ESPN has the matchups as Santos vs. Marshall Duke vs. Guzman
  2. I just don't recall Maddux getting the same consistent defense around here last year when he went 1-1 with a 4.20 ERA & 3 quality starts in April. That said, the issue is when and how Z will right the ship, because I have no doubt that he will.
  3. Obviously not helpful for staging a comeback, but I actually felt sorry for him and Cedeno yesterday, standing around in that cold rain for hours as Cubs pitching got pounded.
  4. Well ... if the call hasn't been made to AAA yet, it should happen tonight. They need reinforcements given the past two days.
  5. Well ... this is quickly getting out of hand.

  11. I'll be good for 100/day.
  12. Standing in the cold rain for hours at a time isn't good for morale.
  13. I'm really glad this was resolved.
  14. Welcome to the forums! You're on the list -- it's on the first page of this thread.
  15. He actually would have been perfect in the long relief role in a game like today's.
  16. If we can trade them Fast Freddy Bynum, I'd consider it.
  17. He bats righty according to the baseball cube.
  18. Gallagher is done after 5.1 IPs. He left with the bases loaded on an E-4, a single and a BB. His last few pitches were in the dirt. ETA: final line - 5.1 IPs, 6H, 3R, 2ER, 6K/3BB Carlos Vazquez is the RP; he gives up a single to score an unearned run, then Ks the next two hitters. Daytona scores 1 run in the top of the 7th on two hits, including an rbi single by Sam Fuld. 3-2 Jupiter at stretch time.
  19. Jupiter scores 2 runs on 3 hits in the bottom of the 5th, 2-1 Jupiter. There was a close play at the plate, but the runner was ruled safe.
  20. Gallagher faced Jupiter in his last start on April 24. He gave up 3 runs over 5 IPs on 8H (7 singles).
  21. I'm not a Dusty fan ... but ... I have met and talked with him in passing a couple of times and that quote (which I realize is Dusty quoting himself) strikes me as something that comes across more rude second-hand than it likely did in the actual conversation. Barrett's comments afterwards seemed joking as well. JMO.
