  1. Umpire has called a pretty good game tonight.
  2. Don't forget Kahlil Greene. He's getting better and better. He's jacked 5 HR's already.
  3. Was it a poor decision? It got Zambrano out of the game. And Dusty is known for racking up high pitch counts for his starters. IMO getting out of the inning with no runs allowed was way more urgent than chasing Z. At the same time, the Padres have one of the best defenses in baseball, a park that tends to keep balls in play and a struggling offense. There was no guarantee that the Cubs would pull Zambrano, a guy they struggled to hit all night.

  5. You called it. I rule. Don't worry my dudes. Aramis will save us next inning. Too late. Zambrano wants to be traded to a team that can score runs.
  6. if they score here he would ... Wouldn't whoever pitches the 8th get the win? No. Not that it matters now. Zambrano is the pitcher of record until someone else actually throws a pitch.
  7. Playing devil's advocate for a moment (which you won't find me doing in support of Dusty very often), but maybe Dusty was going with more solid defense in a known pitchers park? Babe Ruth would have trouble hitting balls out of this park, so going with extra speed with Bynum to manufacture a run? Nah.
  8. Routine single to center is a double against the Cubs.
  9. Wow! Web gem by Barfield. Giles charging hard and Barfield makes an over the shoulder catch.
  10. I've given him credit. And I have to admit, the Neifi/Macias 1/2 punch of last year seemed to generate more runs than this team is generating right now.
  11. You're a little late. edit: Nevermind.
  12. I expected Z to give Bynum the finger. Hmm. You may be on to something. Maybe Z asked that Murton not play in games he pitches. :D
  13. For those not able to see the game, that was a pretty ugly error.
  14. Dude clogs the bases. That's why he's not a Cub anymore. Bochy doesn't realize Bellhorn should be hitting 2nd either.
  15. San Diego did make some adjustments in RF to make it easier to hit home runs, but it hasn't really helped much. Most of the home runs that will get hit out of Petco will be in the extreme left and extreme right sections of the outfield. It takes an absolute monster shot to clear the wall in center.
  16. It was. That's what happens to a crushed ball in Petco. No lie.
