  1. So I'm browsing the scores page of ESPN, and while I'm checking out a few box scores, I get this scrolling banner that is informing me that Barry Bonds just hit #751. It's a big banner (or whatever you call it) and it's scrolling right in the way of what I'm trying to read. I have to try to hit the moving "X" with my cursor to get it off my screen. How cool is that? Everyone asks why we have  in our smiley directory. Now you know. As long as ESPN continues their torrid love affair with Barry Bonds, the eye roll will have a place here.
  2. Hey, knock it off. The Cubs won today. Don't worry, be happy!
  3. Are you referring to Shawn Merriman from the Chargers?
  4. Ahh. And the Ervin Santana I'm growing to hate rears his ugly head once again.
  5. That's the Ervin Santana I fell in love with. 8 K's through 3 innings.
  6. I thought Theriot should have gone on that one too, but it was going to be a close play. Langerhans made a pretty good throw towards 3rd.
  7. The throw on Soriano was drifting off towards the 1b side. If would have been 6 to 8 feet wide of the plate, which is why I think Dmitri cut it off. I really can't stand the camera angle at RKF. It's too high up.
  8. Hey Derrek, watch out for that Fick character. He likes to purposely injure people on his way by 1b.
  9. Uh oh, we're taking a win as a given. Watch us lose. No different than yesterday.
  10. So they will really be in trouble once Dmitri Young and Christian Guzman come back down to earth. Guzman is injured and out for the rest of the year. He must have injured himself on purpose. That's the only way he ends this season with a 128 OPS+. Should be good enough to get some team to give him another 4 year/16m contract.
  11. I'm sorta happy to see Adrian get his opportunity this year. He's been very good on special teams and I couldn't be happier with how he filled in as the starting halfback in 2005.
  12. You are correct, GR, but I believe Raisin's first sentence was directed at everyone.
  13. So they will really be in trouble once Dmitri Young and Christian Guzman come back down to earth.
  14. Oh, and thanks for the info. Good stuff.
  15. Are they still projecting Hillenmeyer as a starting outside linebacker? I think he's the weakest link.
  16. Didn't mean to hijack the thread. I just thought Church would have been a guy to include on your list. Nice work. That had to take some time and effort.
  17. RFK seems to sap everyone's SLG%. How do the home/roads look for all the Nats players?
  18. That's very true. I probably should have listed him, although he was basically unavailable with how much the Nationals were reportedly asking for him. I mentioned him mainly because Westbrook was mentioned. It seemed like the Cubs had as much interest in Church as they did in Westbrook.
  19. I agree with IMB. He looks like a different pitcher altogether. His fastball has next to no movement. Typically pitchers with zero movement on their fastball don't ever get a top prospect label.
  20. Good thread. But, one name that I don't see listed is Ryan Church as a possible trade addition.
  21. 3.34 runs is about all the Cubs will need unless Redding can hit home runs as awesome as he pitches. :clown:
  22. So, what's going on? Is Briggs going to play this year? Is Peterson the back up for Benson? Who is going to be starting in Tank's spot? Is Anderson getting a starting gig this year at Right End? Can we get a whole season out of Mike Brown? Who have the Bears added and who have they gotten rid of? I need to get caught up without doing a bunch of research.
