    I had not heard this. Welp, that sucks. Guess I'll have to break down and stream that app when the hockey/basketball season's start.

    Yesterday was the first HR by a 2nd or 3rd baseman this season for the Cubs. That's pretty staggering. Shaw's other HR was as a PH.

    So the Thursday night position player lineup is supposedly the first time in major league history that the whole lineup was 1st rounders? I have no way to confirm that, but I read it somewhere. Suzuki was DH and not drafted, so I'm assuming they meant position player lineup only. Surprised Reese McGuire was a first rounder. Suzuki was a 2nd rounder in Japan.

    I totally get Berry sending PCA on that play. There was a bobble in left field, and if there is ever a time to send someone, it's when PCA is running. However, that recovery from the bobble was perfect, as was the throw. Still, he committed to sending him, so he should have just let it play out. As fast as PCA is, he probably would have been safe. The smarter play was to just hold him up at 3rd, where PCA scores on just about any kind of play outside of a strikeout. I don't have Apple because of baseball. I doubt anyone does. The picture itself is stunning. But those graphics between frames are almost bad enough for me to turn the game off. How are they not aware of how bad they are? The stadium lights graphic that pops on your screen for a split second over and over seems like it should come with a warning for people with light sensitivities. Yes, I am the angry man yelling at a cloud.

    Based on what I'm hearing from camp reports this just isn't an option. Ben Johnson is all about teaching and drilling home his teachings, and not patting a guy on the back/saying nice job if he fails to execute. All of the players are saying there is a tremendous and noticeable difference between Eberflus and Johnson's coaching styles. Hell, Eberflus just didn't have the foot to the throat mentality that is needed to win at the highest level of sports. How many games did he let slip away that could have been won? Johnson already seems like a guy with his foot on your throat and he's kicking you in the balls with his other foot.

    Oh man. I forgot about that. Mine will only fast forward in frames. Takes about 6 to 7 pushes of the fast forward button to jump through the commercials at times when I have to pause the game. I will say that it was cool to pause the game and turn the tv off and when I turned the tv back on, it was still in the same pause position as when it was set to pause. Haven't even tried the rewind button,

    The Marquee streaming app is pretty decent overall, but it's the only app that I have that refuses to sign off on its own. I have to restart my Fire Stick to close out of the app. Oh, and I also have to restart my Fire Stick before I stream Marquee, or it will inevitably screen freeze or lock up on me. To be fair, my Fire Sticks are pretty old at this point. But, they are updated. Still worth the $20 a month I'm paying for it.

    That is why I'm asking. He didn't appear to be with the team last night. Maybe that was moving day for him? Now he has Thursday to get acclimated.

    He has to know his best chances of leaving the Marlins is pitching well, even if there is nothing inspiring about playing for a last place team. What is different about his peripherals right now that has his stats suffering so badly?

    Shaw looks like a legit great fielding 3b. How many reps at 3rd does he have in the system? I thought he mostly played 2nd. Is Cabrera in Iowa? When can we expect him to get promoted?

    I'm not annoyed by Cohen at all. And I also think JD seems to click with him a bit more lately. Probably because of the more regular work together. Not sure how many people have worked with JD over the years, but I'm sure it gets tiring training rookies or having some of the same conversations over and over with new people.

    I say them to. I just don't document them in the game threads very often. And that's not a knock on anyone. I just think it's funny reading them when the game turns around. It sucks reading them when the suckage continues and they put up an L.

    They snapped the Sunday skid this past Sunday.

    That grand slam was confusing. I was watching with no sound and people over for cocktails, and PCA just stood there and no one reacted. Couldn't see the ball at all, and it was only when the Cubs bullpen guys started jumping up and down before I had any clue it was gone. Really surreal and unique moment.

    If PCA learns to quit taking failure out on his bat, he'll become the greatest player in baseball history and the the true definition of perfection. Hell, he's even let Happ catch some balls in Left/Center since Happ got mad at him.

    That was perfectly timed and loud. Even got my wife to look up from her book. I think they showed CB Bucknor at 1b last night. Was he the clown behind the plate on Monday? Might have been the worst strike zone I've seen all year.

    Joe Thuney signed a 2 year extension. He'll be paid $51 or the next 3 years. That creates a lot of stability at 4 of the 5 Oline positions. That makes me happy.
