    Pujols hasn't gotten a pass from the St. Louis media. Bernie Miklacz and Bryan Burwell in particular have criticized his poor loser mentality. It just hasn't gotten coverage because national media doesn't pay attention to St. Louis clubhouse rumblings.

    I don't how this got into racism and the hypocrisy of the Cardinals org, but my point is that Michael Jordan is a jerk, Tiger Woods is a jerk, Ted Williams was a jerk, etc etc. I really don't care if people like him, as long as Albert is breaking laws, rules, or doing something loathesome (racism) I don't really care how nice he is to the media. As long as he keeps putting up insane offensive production he can be a douche to whoever he wants, especially considering he is by all accounts a positive clubhouse influence, a good man in the community and not a criminal.

    What on earth does this have to with Pujols? Unless you are saying rude to media = racist klansman. Just because a slighted journalist put it an article doesn't make it relevant.

    There was a thread about this earlier this year that was about 40 pages long. My conclusion: Unfortunately many players pose after homeruns. Cubs fans hate Albert because he is historically good so they use this against him even though it is hypocritical to complain about him and not Ramirez or Jones posing and bat flipping. Or Zambrano's gesticulations. Most reasonable people don't care as long as it doesn't get out of hand. I know I don't. After all, if anyone should think he is better than the pitcher he just took yard, it should be the best hitter in baseball.

    He does lots of charity work and we should genuflect before him. Seriously, Albert is a hyper competitive person. He can be a huge dick when he is struggling. I don't see why this is something A) shocking, B) to be ashamed of, or C) a bad thing. I like Albert Pujols because he is an incredibly hitter and he plays on my favorite team. I could care less whether the New York Media likes him. This isn't the first time they've done a hatchet job on somebody who gives them the cold shoulder. If I had just gotten shut out and gone through one of the longest hitless streaks of my career, in the playoffs no less, I wouldn't want to talk to them either. Then again, I can be a huge dick sometimes. I'd actually like Albert less if he was willing to be Mr. Sunshine right after a huge loss.

    I didn't word that part well. The faceoffs were definitely a big problem on the PK.

    The faceoffs are a separate issue, but the PK and goaltending needs the defensemen to clear the front of the net. The Blues have more size up front than a lot of teams (Tkachuk, Guerin) but those passing lanes were wide open up front all game. That move Havlat put on Wideman for his second goal was gorgeous. So much speed and finesse. I didn't know he was only 25. He is going to be a superstar.

    The Blackhawks defense is TERRIBLE in front of the net. Maybe not all year, but tonight they were just plain bad. My Blues were getting rebound after rebound and passing through the slot at will.

    ESPNNews now saying 4 dead including Lidle, observers say plane was erratic before crashing. Jeremy Schaap says Lidle was alone in the plane. He also said apartment inhabitant was the only other fatality. Hopefully it was only 2.
