  1. Hahah, we'll see mr. wolf We've scored 26 runs in the last three games. I'd be worried if I was you. Do you think I care that your 4 best pitchers are going to face us? NO Do you think I care that our 4 crappiest pitchers are going to face you? NO WE WILL ROCK YOUR S, MY FRIEND.
  2. You guys are screwed this weekend. Here comes the judge.
  3. Tigers won game 2. It was the Kenny Rogers/pine tar game.
  4. Wainwright's will be higher than that after today.
  5. Wainwright's k rate has been growing steadily since early June. This is a good sign.
  6. Dave Bush: 121 pitches and counting...
  7. This is bat guano crazy. The Cardinals ARE NOT GOOD. In addition to not being good they are trailing 2 other teams in the division. Yeah but they sucked last year too though. And lookitt what happened. But they never trailed one team in August, let alone two. They also had an average offense and above average pitching. This year's team has an average offense and below average pitching. Last year they were the mediocre team to benefit from no competition in the division. This year, it will probably be somebody else. Right. Not only are they worse, but they trail two teams as opposed to sucking not quite as much and having the luxury of zero legit competition.

  9. QB - Matt Hasselback QB - Tony Romo QB - Jay Cutler RB - Brian Westbrook RB - Shaun Alexander RB - Adrian Peterson WR - Randy Moss WR - Calvin Johnson WR - Deion Branch TE - Vernon Davis
  10. St. Louis sports radio needs to be collectively taken out back and shot. Terrible.
  11. I wasn't too optimistic about my team for this week because I also have Ronaldo as my captain but my team scored 36 points this week which was only less than wolf. :D Yeah, I had a ton of injuries and ended up having to do a bunch of transfers so I really needed a good week this week. So far, so good. It helps when your players actually play.
  12. In our fantasy league, what happens if a player transfers out of the league? I've got Heinze and he is rumored to be heading to Lyon.
  13. You are.
  14. i've had to do this with three different computers...so far, so good with this one. I bet you just jinxed it.
  15. Peter Nowak? I hope not. this is american soccer's take on the Euro roster
  16. Well you bone their daughter, so it's the price you have to pay.
  17. Would you dispute that? They have been a horrible team since the all-star break last season. They made it into the playoffs in by far the worst division in baseball by one game then went on to completely outperform not only their season norms, but in many cases their career norms. That didn't make them a good team, as you of all people probably understand. It made them a dog crap team that got lucky. This is completely true. I never said they haven't been lucky in their record. I am completely willing to write it off as a fluke of luck. All the other crap has been completely unlucky to the organization. Their fault personally, but bad luck for the organization that these tools did these things. After 645.3 innings in three years, it is unreasonable to think maybe his injuries are behind him? I didn't expect anything good, that's for sure. I was just pointing out his injury is just as "unlucky" as Prior and Wood's. I don't think either are unlucky personally, I think it's genetics and overwork, but a lot of people here feel otherwise. carpenter has been on borrowed time forever, you were lucky to get what you did from him Again, not necessarily unlucky, more an illustration that bad things do indeed happen to teams not named the Cubs. A lot of people can't seem to understand that and just sit here and whine about how bad off the Cubs have had it. Duncan is complete inexplicable. You have me there for sure. I guess using the word lucky in my original post was a very poor choice of wording because it wasn't really what I meant. What I was trying to convey is that lots of bad things have happened to them despite some people's insistence on saying that the Cardinals are always lucky and god hates the Cubs or some BS. Yeah because I really wouldn't care to have Darryl Kile and a fully realized potential Rick Ankiel in our rotation. Matt Morris tearing his labrum and becoming a shell of his former self was fun for all of us Cardinals fans too. Stuff like this happens, stop whining. I'm not whining about the Cardinals misfortunes so much as I'm trying to point out to you guys that it happens to everyone. I guess self loathing is something you do better than self awareness though, so I'll let it drop.
  18. It was unintentional "fat dude in coach class" bumping.
  19. That's true, but wasn't the US in Copa America (albeit briefly, though I think they eventually did score A goal)? Bah, I suppose it makes nominal sense, but I at least hope the US will field a competitive group, although I imagine attendance will be scarce with the game on the same day as Bears/Chargers. We scored in our first Copa game early, Eddie Johnson vs Argentina. I guarantee the game will sell out. Brazil travels exceptionally well no matter where they go. They will fill seats even if we don't.
  20. I'm clearly not asking for sympathy. I'm just pointing out they haven't been lucky since the World Series like you guys are making it out to be. The Cardinals are absolute dog crap and have been for a year and a half, disregarding of course the luckiest 3 week or so stretch in baseball history last October. Acting like you're so jealous and you wish the cubs would get the breaks the Cardinals have gotten this year is ill-informed BS. Until recently, the Cubs have been very fortunate with their health.
  21. Calvin Johnson Building for the future...
  22. You've been wanting to use the Michael in Cuba pic for a while now. You're secretly happy I gave you the reason.
  23. I'll take GlenAllen Hill with good RF defense, that's pretty much Soriano. ok, that's not completely fair because Hill was platooned but he was a useful player. I didn't realize how good Hill was during his "peak" years (which oddly came from about age 31-35). I sure hope Ankiel is never putting up an OPS+ around 125-135. He will. He plays for God's team. :pukel: Oh yes. We have been so lucky this year. So lucky that a pitcher killed himself, our manager fell asleep drunk at the wheel, a player's drug addiction came to a head, Pujols (highest paid player) has been battling various bicep, knee and quad injuries all year, our ace (second highest paid player with fresh extension) went out for two years after opening day, our supposed number two pitcher hasn't come back from injury yet, our best set up man went out for the year in ST, our center fielder and 3rd basemen (3rd and 4th highest paid players) look like they are toast after careers filled with debilitating injuries and our front office is seemingly fighting amongst itself. Oh, and I heard Rick Ankiel found a penny head's up at the beginning of the year and thats how he is hitting with such great power.
  24. He came in at the 46th. I hope he gets more of a chance to play and get a rhythm going.
