  1. Pujols is going to be on this list. Anyone want to bet me otherwise?
  2. agreed +, but in reverse.
  3. You're going to lose because I am better than you.
  4. That's not being a homer. That's a fact. Chelsea is going to go on a freaking shopping spree next month. I expect two quality strikers and some midfield and back line depth to be headed your way.
  5. Wow, that would be a huge coup for them in Europe! HUGE. btw i hope this means dave o brien will be doing the broadcasts with wyno and tommy smyth so the people in europe can enjoy am i rite?!
  6. Bradley's treble on youtube
  7. That would be great, especially if his dad sticks with the dual defensive mids. I'm confident he'll develop a nice offensive game. In the U-20's he was arguably our best player along with Freddy and was always getting forward and into the action.
  8. Bradley's hat trick
  9. The Brewers had Chris Capuano, Bill Hall and either Rolen's entire salary or the Cardinals pick up a portion of the salary and the Brewers add a "top" prospect. That is value. And that trade didnt go thru, because Doug Melvin had second thoughts because of all the baggage with Rolen right now. Rolen is a shell of his former self plain and simple. Not according to every media outlet I've read. The issue was the Cardinals wanted the Brewers to assume full salary as well as send a top prospect. The Brewers wanted to do one or the other. It apparently did not have anything to do with Rolen's baggage. Of course I agree with you that he is a shell of his former self, but Melvin and the Brewers doctors looked at his medical files and were ready to go through with the trade even after that.
  10. Arsenal, not very deep apparently.

  12. Most mlb outfielders > Skip Schumaker In our case: Edmonds Duncan Ludwick > Schumacker Barton Spiezio
  13. No, I said we didn't have any reason to think it wasn't overblown. Obviously that is no longer the case. Both of these guys are babies.
  14. Brain Barton > So Taguchi.
  15. You can have my pick for cash considerations. Just PM me your player. Check your pm's, snood.
  16. CRAP I have to wait like 15 more places. By then all I'll be able to add to the list will be like Brian Fuentes or something. I'm screwed.
  17. 1. Babe Ruth 2. Ted Williams 3. Barry Bonds 4. Honus Wagner 5. Willie Mays 6. Hank Aaron 7. Josh Gibson 8. Cy Young 9. Lou Gehrig 10. Joe DiMaggio 11. Rickey Henderson 12. 18. I agree with you on that. I just didn't jive with the Cabrera = Rolen illustration. I know you meant it only to highlight the value of Rolen's defense, but I think other people (not here) took it to mean Cabrera = Rolen in terms of overall value even though that isn't what you were saying. I just didn't feel like throwing my two cents in those other threads as fast as they are moving would matter. I also didn't want to appear to be aligning myself with another poster against you in that argument, which someone may have assumed.
  19. That is a fun little comparison, but not much more. So many factors make it irrelevant. Rolen is obviously a prime candidate for steady production drops because of both health and the normal decrease in effectiveness from age. Cabrera is the opposite. He is apparently getting healthier by losing weight and is entering his prime years. Then Rolen loses the defensive trump card with Cabrera moving to left field. Granted, the two seasons Cabrera spent in LF were bad. The question is this. Yes the difference between Cabrera and Rolen's value in 2007 was negligible when you factor in defense which isn't easily quantified, but who is more likely to continue their production? You already know that though.
  20. US u-23 Olympic squad has still yet to name the age exception players, but here is the bulk of the roster. http://www.ussoccer.com/articles/viewArticle.jsp_4128768.html We have two GK's listed, one of which is only 16, so that leads me to believe one of the age exceptions will be Brad Guzan.
  21. I'd totally jump on this pain train for Mizzou if I weren't in the exact same boat :(
  22. In the video he seems way more wasted then a 200lb person who just had "a few glasses of wine with a big dinner."
