Omar Golan is one beloved Jew in England today. As for Jozy at Madrid, it would be a while before he got consistent playing time, but I'll take him training with Real over playing 90 in every MLS game every day of the week.

Danny Szetela officially became the first non-keeper, US International La Liga player when he started and played 66 minutes for Santander yesterday. 0-0 draw. Hopefully this becomes the norm because he turned down Newcastle and Roma for Santander, presumably for more playing time and playing style. Oh speaking of La Liga, Ives Gallarcep (the man in the know for all things NYRB) offers this snippet.

fixed While Noc does it too, Hinrich is ridiculous. I still think its hilarious USSoccer said he'd rather keep Hinrich than Deng. Hinrich is a terrible shooter, terrible ball handler, and he cant stay out of foul trouble. I stand by it. as Kirk goes, the Bulls go. He's probably their most important player. Don't worry about Keener laughing at you. He's the guy who, earlier in this thread, basically said Chris Duhon is as good as Kirk Hinrich. I haven't taken anything he has posted since seriously.

The funniest part of my trip to LA this weekend wasn't our bus driver almost running over Tone Loc as he got out of his H3. It wasn't getting to eat at the In n' Out on Ventura next to Larry Sellers' house. It was the drunk UCLA fans behind me late in the 4th when Dorrell still refused to open up the offense. Shirt-less guys sarcastically yelling "LINE EM UP IN THE POWER I" while crying and laughing at the same time was hilarious.

Because he's just about the best player in the world. He's also been playing at an extremely high level since he was what, 16? Oh, I knew the answer. It was just a rhetorical question. Either way, C. Ronaldo is the truth. True. And I'm not ashamed to be jealous of Portugal, Man U., and/or any other team he plays for. He's ridiculous. Plus he's dreamy as hell. No kidding. That was awesome.
