  1. I have it on good authority that Western Kentucky will probably win this game because Ball State's QB is going to be way too stoned to play. I hope this is a joke post, our QB is basically all we've got at this point! It is not. The getting high all the time thing isn't new, so he'll probably be as effective as ever. How the heck did you hear this? I'm Ball State student sports media and I couldn't have even guessed. Let's just say my source is very close to the situation... I could even tell you his preferred "flavor."
  2. I've always wondered what I would do if I went to a baseball game between two teams that I didn't care about. In this case, I would probably go and just pretend that it's the world series. living in dc and detroit the last 8 years, i've done this frequently. i tend to drink a lot. Yeah I drink and make comments loud enough for people to hear about how terrible D-Backs fans are. Unfortunately they are as terrible as I say and thusly don't really care. Who cares if they suck? We were 50-31 at home with our mediocre crowds, sellouts don't = wins, so criticizing the fact we can barely sell out is pointless.Hey what's up mr. drawing bad conclusions... I said nothing of the quality of the team or the team's home play. I merely pointed out something that you seem to already know which I happen to enjoy doing when I'm at a game I don't care about.

  6. Wahl on Michael Bradley
  7. I was thinking going forward with: -----------------------Jozy------------Rossi---------------------- -------------------------------Deuce------------------------------ ---------Beasley-------------------------------Donovan--------- -------------------------Bradley/Feilhaber------------------------ ---Pearce/Bornstein--DeMerit/Onyewu--Boca--Cherundolo--- ------------------------------Howard------------------------------- I know people hate Bornstein, but go ask Lionel Messi if he is any good. Then the question of where does Freddy play if he blossoms? We have a lot of attacking mids.
  8. Why would the USSF waste it's time? Meh, it's just a phone call. I doubt it is high on their priority list. Although it would be fun to kick around a lineup with two legit strikers. Our midfield would be packed if we moved Clint back.
  9. In an interview with sidelineviews, an LA Galaxy blog, Bob Bradley said they are "In talks" with Giuseppe Rossi about a call up to the senior squad. Nothing will come of this, but it is worth mentioning.
  10. Good times.
  11. What happened? I didn't watch. I bet Romo freakin went off though. Nope, not enough to keep you out of the loss column anyways. jk What a gay game. Two fantasy losses thanks to that crap job.

  13. Hotter and a Cardinals fan.
  14. Ok, now it's giving me an ulcer. Why on earth did the Blues pass him up?!
  15. I was automatically expecting a loss at UCLA, but right now, I wouldn't be surprised to see ASU lose only at Oregon. After Washington at home next week, we do face the Pac-10 gauntlet of Cal, UCLA, Oregon and USC right in a row. Oregone and UCLA on the road thank god.
  16. Look out world, Erik Johnson is averaging a point per game. I'm pretty happy to be able to say I was there for his debut.
  17. 1g, 2a each for Drury and Jagr last night. I'm calling an Avalanche v Rangers Cup final.

I don't know if I'm going to stay undefeated, I've got two huge bye's with Westbrook and Peterson.
  19. I have been pleased with Duncan, Ankiel, Wainwright, the reserves (Ryan, Ludwick, etc) and Molina, but it'd be nice to develop some impact position player studs. Those don't grow on trees though. Well, within a year or 2 when Rasmus sticks, you should have two impact position studs for the decade. That easily beats the Cubs 0 for the decade. I'm about as excited as I let myself get for a prospect.
  20. I would kill myself. He lives in Phoenix. I'm going to make this happen.

  22. Going to the Blues/Coyotes tomorrow. I'm psyched. Watching Stasny do what he just did makes my heart sad.
  23. I'd like them to keep Mozeliak as GM and either keep Tony or hire someone who handles pitching staffs well. Tony has worn out a lot of tread this year with the DUI and everything, but he and Duncan are a package deal and I'd hate to lose Duncan. Would Jose Oquendo be one of the favorites for the manager job? He has been regarded as the heir apparent for many years. That could change if they go out of house to get a new GM and let him bring in his own guy.
  24. Liriano, Nathan and Bonser for Pierzynski? Kearns, Lopez and whoever for two injured middle relievers/ At least Mulder had a fine track record to go with his alarming abuse/injury history.
  25. BTW - If you want to ask questions of a real life GM, even if it is the Cardinals GM, you can do so here. There are a bunch of users with dual memberships both here and there, so I'm sure I or someone who already has an account could ask a question if one of you doesn't want to deal with the annoyance of registering just to ask one question.
