  1. I've never heard of him. I searched the MNT website and didn't find much. He is out of the Bradenton Development academy and last year scored against Brazil for the U-17's. http://www.ussoccer.com/articles/viewArticle.jsp_4194318.html
  2. I don't know, but it's cool.
  3. How much money are United or Chelsea going to have to offer for Tottenham to give up Berbatov? Tottenham came out today and said that they wont sell Berbatov for less then $30m so I would be shocked if either of them end up with him now. 30!? Maybe if he was English... Btw, MLS just passed a rule that allows teams to sign players in their youth squads without exposing them to the super draft. I'm not sure what this means for the future. On one hand it is a great idea to develop US talent, but on the other hand it continues to widen the gap between the haves and have nots with big clubs who are able to spend much more money on their scouting and player development.
  4. Oh what the hell. Why not? http://www.soccerbyives.net According to reports out of Portugal, the Galaxy (an AEG team) are going to trade a bunch of draft picks to the Dynamo (an AEG team) for their DP slot which they will use to sign Figo with whom they have already signed a contract. 80% of their contracts will be tied into Beckham, Donovan, Figo, Cannon and Mathis. So much for not making this the NASL part II I guess. Meanwhile, across town, Chivas is going to play much, much better soccer and for a quarter of the price.

  6. Benny Feilhaber finally got on for Derby this weekend. Only 9 minutes, but it's a good sign.
  7. Fulham sacked Sanchez.
  8. England has a chance to eliminate Italy Ain't nobody beating Inter.
  9. Juan Encarnacion with more speed.
  10. Stl... Will Carroll has suggested that Duncan might be good for Prior. I'm skeptical. He's done so well with Prior lite... I have to assume you're referring to Reyes? Yes.

  12. [sweeping music]This is Geech's first Academy nomination and first win in the category of "Best Unending Argument Ender." Congratulations, Geech![/sweeping music]
  13. WTG, GEECH! Winner, winner!
  14. I have three first place teams going into the playoffs and I think all three are going to lose.
  15. It's important for 6 year olds to have good bs meters. Otherwise they might have fun. The best.
  16. Roids wore off. NO! How dare you. The guy who told him how to hit homers, who only the he saw, was named George Baruth (omg, George "Babe" Ruth?!?!) and he left town at the end of the book. That's when he stopped hitting homers.
  17. What a great book. The title is a tad misleading though because at the end he hits a double.
  18. There are a lot of crappy, crappy current and former Cardinals on that list and no Albert Pujols. I'm very pleasantly surprised.
  19. Once again, if Bill James is right, the Cubs dominate the NL.
  20. US U-23's drew with China yesterday. Most intriguing to me was Maurice Edu playing at center back. That is a possibility that had not occured to me. I'd like to see how it works out. I'm also interested to see where Aston Villa is going to play him. I like him a lot, but with the glut of defensive mids, there just isn't room for him in the middle what with little Bradley's surge. He is an intriguing center back prospect for sure.
  21. Here is the link in non-gigantic letters so it can actually be used. http://www.cnbc.com/id/22243678
