  1. I really hope Lou can get a lot more at bats for D-Ward this year. Man, what a bat. How many bats did Ward have last year?
  2. Some people will never get it. Now, watch someone try to be clever and use what I say against me. Here we go!
  3. What a moronic thing to say. I sure hope NSBB doesn't become like so manny crappy baseball boards out there. it will become crappy if people don't cry after losses? No it will become crappy if posters start getting personal with one another. If you disagree with a particular post-- fine. But there's no need to get ugly.
  4. It's okay Stud. I'm not punching the air or breaking my remote, either. I'm a Cub fan. I was just letting out some frustration. Stop being so judgemental.
  5. Thinking about what I've seen and what I've read, in terms of all the young talent the Cubs have...I can't believe that the Orioles can't settle on some of the players they want for Roberts.

  7. Yeah I agree...I just get tired of losing.
  8. Wow, Demp looks impressive. Wouldn't that be the suprise (no pun intended) of the year, if Lieber and Dempster would go on to pitch well this year?
  9. Believe me I know my baseball and I know the purpose of spring training but what's wrong with wanting to win? What I can't believe is, how ruthless you guys are, when you disagree with someone. What's wrong with showing someone a little brotherly love? Does anyone really on this board think that Takatsu is going to make the team? If I remember correctly, Takatsu didn't impress anyone, the last time he pitched. And I do remember how everyone trashed the Shinjo signing, so what's the big deal? Release him, and allow someone else to get more innings.
  10. Soto also looked bad on a passed ball.
  11. There's nothing wrong with having a low tolerance for losing ---even if it's only spring training.
  12. I see that the A's came back in their final at bat and won the game. I see that Takatsu was charged with a blown save. That's ridiculous, they need to ship him out now! I know it's only Spring Training but there's no excuse for losing. A good winning attitude starts now. I hope Lou explodes.

  14. I don't know what y'all thought but Lieber, Pie, Fontenot, Gallagher, and Soriano among others looked really good today. Cedeno and Rammy had a pretty good game as well. And i really enjoyed the interview with Fukudome as well. Ascaino got hit at times, but ended up with the save. Nice to see the Cubs win for once. They said that Lou was getting a little testy with all the losses. Oh BTW, tomorrow's game against the Royals will also be televised on WGN tomorrow. Oh hey, I just realized I probably should have posted this in game threads...maybe I still will.

  16. Did anyone read or hear about this happening to Felix Pie in spring training? This was certainly news to me. All I can say is, that had to hurt. Gee, I hope that didn't cause permanent damage! lol. "The Cubs have had a variety of injuries this spring. So far, infielder Mark DeRosa was hospitalized with an irregular heartbeat, pitcher Jose Ascanio had a bruised face after getting punched in a robbery attempt, and outfielder Felix Pie missed a couple of days early because of a twisted testicle. Third baseman Aramis Ramirez remains sidelined with a sore right shoulder". http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080302&content_id=2400416&vkey=spt2008news&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  17. ---you've always had a huge what for Wood? Wekse, c'mon man-- get a hold of yourself (and I don't mean literally).
